AI4S Visiting Professorship
Cornell University’s AI for Sustainability (AI4S) Visiting Professorship Program OPEN TO ALL AGES invites distinguished faculty scholars and emerging academic leaders worldwide to collaborate on transformative research in AI and sustainability, and contribute to the AI4S curriculum and the academic environment of Cornell AI4S Initiative (CAISI). The program provides a platform for visiting professors to engage with CAISI’s faculty, researchers, and students, advancing cutting-edge work in sustainable materials, energy systems, and climate solutions. Short-term visits promote long-term collaborations, enhancing the educational experience for Cornell’s graduate and undergraduate students.
Program Highlights
The AI4S Visiting Professorship offers faculty scholars a prestigious opportunity to collaborate with CAISI on high-impact research and contribute to AI4S curriculum development. Visiting professors engage in teaching, mentorship, and research activities, enriching the academic environment by offering specialized seminars, workshops, and short courses. While most visits are a few weeks, the title of Cornell University AI4S Visiting Professor is retained for two calendar years, ensuring sustained association and engagement with CAISI.
Application Information
The Cornell University AI4S Visiting Professorship is open to faculty members worldwide, at all career stages. Candidates must be nominated by a CAISI faculty member. The nomination should outline the proposed collaboration, anticipated contributions to CAISI’s research and educational goals, expected outcomes, and a detailed budget plan. The nomination form (available to CAISI faculty only) will be submitted by the faculty host.
