11月14日,苏州轨交7号线(常楼~木里)通过初期运营前安全评估,预计12月开通运营。
Suzhou Rail Transit Line 7 (Changlou常楼[地铁站]-Muli木里[地铁站]) passed preliminary safety evaluation for operation yesterday and is scheduled to open next month. Next, the group will organize departments and participating units to follow experts' advice for further improvements.
Line 7 is 40.5 kilometers long and has 33 stations. The branch line of Line 4 split from the main line on the night of October 10 and is ready to be connected to Line 7. Due to construction on Suzhou North Railway Station苏州北站, however, the section between Xuenan雪南[地铁站] and Moyang stations莫阳[地铁站] will not open until the construction is finished. The soon-to-be-opened Changlou-Muli section is 35.2 kilometers long and includes 29 stations.
When Line 7 opens, the total length of Suzhou Rail Transit system will extend to 350 kilometers and the number of stations will reach 277. The line will string together High-speed Rail New Town in Xiangcheng District, Huxi CBD in Suzhou Industrial Park, and Taihu New Town in Wuzhong District, playing a crucial role in promoting integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta region and addressing traffic congestion.
The style of Line 7's stations is modern yet simple, designed to become a future-oriented technological line on the outskirts of the ancient city area. All of its regular stations are decorated with blue.
