Specifically, seven projects are positioned as key cooperation projects, including China-Singapore Sustainable Estate Joint Innovation Workshop, the project of National University of Singapore (Suzhou) Research Institute, the second phase of A*STAR Partners' Centre, and the life science foundation of True Light Capital; nine projects are launched by Singaporean companies in SIP, including Gultech (Suzhou) Electronics Expansion Project of Intelligent Factory, Willowmore Critical Infrastructure Smart Access Control Solutions Project, and Industrial Park International ESG Standard Cooperation Project; the other 10 projects involve the establishment of headquarters, R&D centers, and operation centers of Chinese companies in Singapore, including AI Speech's overseas headquarters, Zelos's operation center, and the R&D center of BrightGene. The event also witnessed the announcement of a batch of cooperation projects between companies in Singapore and SIP.
"By hosting the investment forum, SIP aims to further promote China-Singapore cooperation in investment and trade, and achieve the goals of deeper investment cooperation, more friendly investment environment, and broader investment scope. The event highlights the distinctive features of SIP, which is a cooperation project between China and Singapore," said Jiang Weiming, director of SIP Investment Promotion Committee.
After 30 years of development, SIP, the first intergovernmental project between China and Singapore, is home to over 400 Singaporean-funded companies and has accumulated more than $4.9 billion in actual Singaporean direct investment.
