花都塱头古村由来
HISTORY
塱头古村位于广州市花都区炭步镇，是当地知名的“进士村”、“乡贤故里”，被评为“中国历史文化名村”。其中，保存完整的明清年代青砖建筑有近200座，其中炮楼、门楼共3座，祠堂、书室、书院共有近30座，大多数建于清代，部分建于明代。

I live in Langtou Village. It is in Guangzhou. The village is very old. It has a history of more than 600 years. A lot of visitors come here, because they can find many old buildings.
I love our village, too. Because it is very beautiful. During the summer holiday, I spend much time in Chun Yang Tai Cultural Centre. It is a modern building in the village. There is a library in the building. I can read different kinds of books. When I get tired, I can go to the top of the building, and watch lovely lotuses.
Langtou Village is such a great place! If you have time at the weekend, you are welcome to pay a visit here.

Other ancient towns and villages in Guangzhou
Shawan Ancient Town (沙湾古镇)
Shawan Ancient Town is situated in the centre of Panyu district in the south of Guangzhou. Built in the Song dynasty, it has a history of over 800 years.
Xiaozhou Village (小洲村)
Xiaozhou Village is located at the southern end of Guangzhou. It was built in the late Yuan dynasty and early Ming dynasty. It is a typical ancient village of Lingnan Water Town in Guangzhou.
Huangpu Village (黄埔村)
Huangpu Village was founded in the Song dynasty. It was the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road.
Shenjing Ancient Village (深井古村)
Shenjing Ancient Village has a history of nearly a thousand years. It lies between the University Town and the Huangpu Military Academy. There are many stone streets and blue brick houses in the village.
Julong Village (聚龙村)
Julong Village was founded in 1889. There is a river at the entrance of the village. Julong Village covers an area of over 5200 square metres, with a total of 20 historic houses.
