Beverly Bryan and her husband were visiting Florida when a sudden medical emergency turned into a nightmare. Her husband experienced sharp pains in his side and was rushed to a local hospital for surgery. However, in a shocking turn of events, the surgeon allegedly removed his liver instead of his spleen, leading to fatal blood loss.

According to Bryan, the devastating mistake was uncovered during an autopsy. “She told me my husband's liver was missing out of his body, it was gone, and that his spleen was still intact,” Bryan said.

The case has sparked outrage, with many questioning how such a critical error could have occurred. Critics argue that the surgical team should have identified the mistake before it was too late. Some have called for criminal charges rather than just medical malpractice claims. "This is not medical malpractice. The doctor should be charged with criminal negligence," one person commented online.

Others shared their own experiences with medical errors, with one netizen recounting how their sister nearly died after a botched intestinal surgery. Another pointed out that while people can live without a spleen, removing the liver is fatal. "How did he think this man could survive after losing his liver?" another user questioned.

Concerns over the doctor’s qualifications have also surfaced. Reports indicate that Dr. Thomas Shaknovsky primarily performed hernia and gastrointestinal surgeries, raising questions about why he was assigned a splenectomy.
