Y4A  Hades

Anna

Jessie

Mark

Allen

Rani Mo

Gordon

Spark

Angle

Bruce

Mitchell

Gordon

Jenny

Chapter One

  Y6B Bruce

This is the year 2547, and we are going to Mars because Earth is becoming uninhabitable. We are currently waiting for the trip. Why is Earth becoming uninhabitable? The sun is getting bigger, and with global warming, the Earth is becoming much warmer. It is now too warm, so we will go to Mars and start a new colony. Additionally, Earth is experiencing more and more very large sandstorms due to the weather. A strong gust of wind can easily cause one because there is sand everywhere. There are also sandstorms on Mars, but I think ours are probably worse. I believe we will move there because Mars isn't as warm as Earth.

A warm gust of wind blew past. Whoosh! Then, sand blew into my face. I wiped my face and spat out some sand. I took out my goggles and mask and put them on. Better to be protected than sorry, I thought.

Suddenly, I felt the need to go to the bathroom, so I went. When I was heading back, a huge sandstorm hit. It was the biggest I had ever seen. There was a siren, and a voice was saying, "Emergency takeoff. Please get on the ship." The wind was so strong that the trees were bending. Poor trees, I thought.

I ran to the ship, running for my life. But my speed was probably only that of normal walking since I was in a huge sandstorm and running against the wind.

Then, a branch came flying at me. I ducked just in time and kept running.

After a lot of running and ducking, I saw the silhouette of the ship. The voice said, "T minus 30 seconds." I had less than thirty seconds to get on the ship!

It was probably the voice that distracted me. An object hit me right in the head, and I passed out.

Journey to Ultraman's World

Chapter 1: The Secret Code from Ultraman

Journey to Ultraman

Y6B Spark

In a world where giant monsters harm humans, Ultraman was the hero everyone looked up to.

Mark, a brave person who likes to eat food, said, “Hi everybody! Let's go play in the woods!”

Simon, a tall and bold person, said, “Okay! I can go anywhere you guys like!”

Spark, a timid person, said, “Oh! Just be careful, but I’ll go with you guys to have fun.”

They walked and walked into the woods, but then they saw a bright light shining towards them. When they opened their eyes, they found themselves in a mysterious place they had never seen before.

Simon said, “Let’s just play!”

Mark replied, “Okay, and I’ll be with the timid Spark.”

They played for hours and hours, but then they found a bunch of words on a tree. It said, “MJSUN AND P AND USE TM TO REACH ULTRAMAN WORLD.”

“Oh, what!” said Mark. “What world?”

“Ultraman world,” said Simon. “We can figure out this bunch of words and read them again.”

But Spark interjected, “Okay, but I’m a little afraid that…”

“No! We must do this!” Mark and Simon said with some anger.

They figured it out for a few hours and read the simpler words: “Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Use the time machine to reach Ultraman’s world!” Just then, the bright light shone on them again. This time, they were in a lab filled with scientific equipment.

“Oh wow,” Simon said. “What is this place?”

Just then, a man came close to them and said, “Hello, my astronauts! Did you go to the woods today and crack the code you saw?”

“Yes!” Simon and Mark said. “I just felt we needed to come here. What do you want us to do?”

“I sent a message to the old woods to see if anyone could crack the code and help the little boy Sam reach Ultraman’s world. He is related to Ultraman and flew to Earth injured when he fought a monster called Red Spider. Please help Sam reach Ultraman’s world!”

“Sounds interesting!” Simon and Mark said. But Spark, on the other hand, just sat in a chair and said, “Okay! I’ll go…”

“Here, I’ll show you something that you need to travel with and take food for your lunch and dinner.”

The man took them to a place where several spaceships were parked. “Wow, wow!” Everyone felt surprised! “What is it?”

“It is a time machine; it can help you travel as fast as light. You just need one hour to travel from Earth to Ultraman’s world, but you need to be careful of the evil monsters you’ll encounter. You need to fight all of them!” said the man.

“Sounds great, we’ll fight them all. Agha, Agha, Agha, Agha…”

“Don’t be too happy too early; I’ll give you some weapons to fight the monsters,” the man said.

He handed some weapons to Simon and said, “Here are the bubble weapons and four guns. If you need any help to fight the monsters, call ‘ATHH’ and I’ll come to help you,” said the man.

“Okay!” said everyone, including Spark and Sam. “So, are you going to start your journey now?” asked the man.

“Yes!” everyone answered. “Journey to Ultraman’s world!” they said with excitement.

They stepped onto the time machine spaceship and got ready.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! The machine flew up into space. They waved goodbye to the man. Their first planet was Mars…

The journey had just started…

Chapter One: Living in Space

Y6B Simon

Imagine living in a place where the sky is always black, and you can see a billion stars twinkling every night. This is the reality for the people aboard the MKBF, a massive spaceship that floats high above Earth in the year 2147. After pollution and climate change rendered Earth uninhabitable, humanity built the MKBF as a last refuge—a new home among the stars.

Life on the MKBF is unlike anything that existed on Earth. The ship is equipped with state-of-the-art technology designed to enhance daily living. Holographic displays provide vital information, while robots assist with everything from cooking to cleaning. Each resident has a small living area, complete with a cozy bed, a laptop for educational activities, and a window revealing the breathtaking cosmos.

Food aboard the MKBF comes from innovative hydroponic gardens, where plants thrive in nutrient-rich water instead of soil. Residents enjoy fresh vegetables and fruits, carefully cultivated to provide essential nutrients. The ship’s chefs create meals reminiscent of Earth, and communal dining becomes a cherished ritual, fostering a keen sense of community.

However, living in space is not without challenges. Occasionally, artificial lights flicker, casting shadows in the halls, and the air can feel stale. Homesickness can creep in, and residents long for the green trees and blue oceans of Earth. To combat this, the MKBF staff holds weekly meetings, encouraging everyone to share their feelings and brainstorm ways to improve life aboard the ship.

Mark, a hopeful dreamer among the crew, often finds solace in these meetings, but his heart aches for something greater. As a dedicated scientist, he is one of many searching for a better planet for humanity to inhabit. He spends his days analyzing data from countless planetary scans, always with a flicker of hope that he will discover a new home.

One day, while taking a break on the observation deck, Mark gazes into the vastness of space. The ship is silent, the only sound the soft hum of machinery. As he squints into the darkness, a shimmer catches his eye—a distant planet, bathed in hues of blue and green, swirling with fresh air. It beckons him, an oasis in the desolate void. His heart races as he realizes it is a billion kilometers away, but the thought ignites a fire within him.

Mark rushes back to the control room, adrenaline coursing through his veins. “I think I’ve found something!” he exclaims, his voice barely contained. His colleagues turn, curiosity piqued. He pulls up the scans on the main screen, the image of the distant planet illuminating the darkened room.

“Look at this!” he exclaimed, excitement bubbling in his voice. “This planet has a breathable atmosphere and surface water—it might actually be habitable!” The room fell silent as his colleagues leaned closer; their faces lit by the screen. Hope ignited in their eyes as they began to process the implications. Could this distant world truly be the answer they had been searching for, a new home for humanity?

Wake me up in the year 5000 AD Chapter 1

Y6B John

“Edward! Edward! Wake up! This is urgent! We need to escape the ship now!” said Charles. “Uhhh..., what's going on?” said Edward. “What am I doing here?”

It was 5000 AD, and the climate change destroyed Earth. Edward, Charles, and their team of astronauts were in a freezer since 2442. Charles and the other team member’s freezers were kept safe, but Edward's freezer was damaged, and he lost most of his memories. As Edward was frozen, Charles and the team traveled to Venus. “There is an emergency!” said Charles, “We need to abandon the ship!”

“Wait, who are you?” said Edward

“Of course you do not know who I am. You lost your memories” Charles said to himself. “Come on!”

They and five other team members escaped on EP1. The rest escaped on EP2.

“Why is everything so unfamiliar?” asked Edward.

“You've lost all your memories, or actually, maybe not all.” said Charles.

“Hmm... okay...,” said Edward.

After a while of talking with Charles, Edward found something in his pocket. It was an amulet, but he did not know what it was for nor why it was there. There was something written on it. It wrote “What memories are seeking in me?” He whispered it out to himself and the amulet. Suddenly, the amulet opened, when it did, he suddenly regained all his memories. “That was interesting...” he thought.

A few weeks later the team had arrived on the mysterious grounds of Venus. The planet was not what it was before, it had life just like Earth before the disaster. There were luscious green plants, majestic animals and much more...

The alarm went off, again! This time there was a giant tiger-like animal charging at them! It was about two meters tall and five meters in length. "We need Battle Pod 1, 7, 5 and 4” commanded Charles “Attack!”

As the battle raged like fire there were more of those creatures coming to fight against the team. Edward used his laser gun to shoot some of enemies down, but it was no use, armour for skin could not be damaged by lasers.

Edward then found something in his pocket. It was a ball of some sort with a bright red button on it. He was curious and clicked it, it started beeping... Edward then found out what it was. He threw it, in a beam of flashing light, all the fighting was gone, there was only peace.

“Hooray!” shouted the team with endless happiness.

After a few months colonies were built, Venus was the new Earth, everything went well.

Until one day, it was not.

To be continued...

Chapter 1 Leaving Earth

George Hu

It is 15/6/15967. Today, we are going to leave Earth because of AI control. Earth looks like hell; everywhere is dark, and there is not enough food or water. We all need to work for the AI. We must leave Earth before 5 o’clock; it is our only chance to live on a planet where there is peace. We must go through the wormhole near Mars.

"Gavin, we must go now. Stop writing in your diary," said Mom.

"I'm coming, Mom," I said. I closed the book and packed all my clothes with my brother, Jason. We boarded the space elevator. The space elevator looked like a small room, and there were a lot of seats. We sat in the seats and fastened our seat belts. "Vooo!" the elevator went upward. We started our journey to Mars. We heard a "bang" and found out it was the bomb attached to the other elevator. Our elevator had a bomb too, and we were all scared. My dad stood up; he is the scariest among all the people. My mom took out her space suit and put it on. She jumped out of the space elevator, but she couldn't find the bomb. Everyone in the elevator helped Mom find the bomb, but we couldn't. "I found the bomb; it is at the top of the elevator!" I yelled. Mom got near the bomb, but suddenly the bomb on the other elevator exploded. My mom couldn't go near it anymore, but she moved closer step by step. "10, 9, 8, 7…" She pulled out a pair of scissors and cut the blue wire, then cut the red and yellow wires. "3, 2, 1…" It stopped. The bomb didn’t explode. Mom is a hero; she saved us. Jason thinks the AI must have attached it.

"We are now at Mars. Please leave the elevator," Dad said. "We are now going to the underground city. Everything is opposite; we need to wear masks to breathe." Mom said we are also going to see Grandpa and Grandma. Mars looks like heaven; we found a lot of wild animals. There is clean water and air. Dad said it won't look like that when the AI comes.

We went to the entrances, and a monster appeared……

Chapter 1  Make friends in Space

Gordon Li

It's a long time away, and the technology on Earth is very advanced. Many people want to explore space. I am already a great scientist, and people really want to go to another planet to make some friends. So, people asked me, a world-renowned scientist, to explore Mars. To live up to people's high expectations, I agreed. I immediately packed my luggage and boarded my self-made Shuiling-1 spacecraft, which flew to Mars with a swoosh. As soon as I arrived on Mars, I was stunned. I had never seen such a cute little elf before. They had a pair of big ears, long hair, a light blue body, and crystal-like eyes, along with very thin transparent wings. It was really amazing!

Hey, why aren't they talking? I took out the alien translator to listen. The elves saw me and quickly changed their language to Chinese: "Welcome to Mars, please come with us!" I first went to their residence. Their houses are very unique, made of special meteorites that can be hidden. Once an enemy is detected invading, the house automatically becomes invisible, and it has many beautiful colors that do not exist on Earth. This is the first time I saw those colors, which is really impressive!

It's time for dinner. But the elves only gave me a piece of food the size of chewing gum. How can I fill my stomach with such a small thing? Originally, this is highly nutritious compressed food; one piece is equivalent to a meal. It's amazing.

It's time to go back to Earth, so I told them about humans wanting to be friends with them. The elves said they also want to be friends with humans. I said, "Don't worry, I will definitely make humans friends with you."

But is it easy to make friends across planets?

Battling Myths: The Hidden Stone

 Chapter 1: The Four

Jacob Tibay

I, Gasper Alexandros, vowed to never wake up today. It's the last day of school. I should be happy, but I have a test that counts for 40% of my grade. My new friend, Scarlett Aria, is moving temporarily, and I can't lose my chance with her. I can impress her with my archery, but it hasn't gotten me closer to her.

My sister Amora bumps me in the thigh. "Owww!" I wailed in agony. "Oh, sorry," she said, but she didn't sound very sorry. "Mom!" I called. I knew I couldn't argue any longer because I was already late for school. Amora and I ran to school, trying to avoid dog manure on the way. As we walked, I felt someone watching us.

Once we were in school, our test had already begun. The test was all about trigrammatic figures and a bunch of other stuff. I was so focused on the test that I think I aced it. Before I knew it, it was already lunch.

I saw my friend Oakley Kane by the restroom, eating lunch. Oakley was a buff but very sensitive boy, and it's easy to make him cry. "Hey, Oakley, last day of school, and you’re still eating by the bathroom?" I said with disappointment.

"Sorry, but I can't find a table," he replied sadly. I gave him three cookies and a toy to cheer him up. "I'm tired of being such a loser; I want to be known," said Oakley while chewing the cookies I gave him.

I agreed with him, but how would I be cool? I asked myself that the whole lunch. I had mythology class afterward, so I was excited because I was paired with Scarlett. This meant I could show off my mythology knowledge to her.

We were assigned to draw a family tree of the first three generations of the Greek gods and goddesses. "Oh, hi, uhhh…" Scarlett had forgotten my name. How? I sat beside her in math! "Gasper," I said. "Oh, right, uhhh… We should get started," she suggested awkwardly. I did the writing while she did the drawing.

I was so depressed; I just wanted to lie down there and die. On the way home, Amora kept bragging about how she got an A- on her test. Oakley got an A+, of course, while I got an A. I was too sad to brag about my score.

Just then, a miracle happened. Scarlett came to me. "Hi, uhh…" she said. "Gasper! My name is Gasper!" I pleaded in my mind. “Gasper! Yes, Gasper, can you help tutor me for my upcoming mythology test?" Scarlett asked politely. I was about to shout out a swear to celebrate, but I stopped myself.

"Let's start today," I said, trying not to grin too much. During our conversation, Amora took out her tennis ball and threw it up and down in the air. Just then, a pigeon snatched the ball from Amora's hand. "Hey! Come back here, you little pigeon!" Amora demanded.

The four of us ran toward the pigeon. It went into a very creepy house. "Oh, gods," muttered Amora. "We have to get the ball," I said with courage. "Okay," said Scarlett. We descended into the darkness…..

Chapter 1 Greek Legions

Jaden Tibay

Last day of school goes very wrong Look, I never wanted to be a hero or anything. My name is Wade Knox, and I am 12 years old. Am I a normal kid who tries to pass every grade that smacks me right in the face? Well, I wish. So, if you are looking for some boring fact book, I suggest you put this down and get another nerdy book. But if you are interested in some Greek stuff and heroes, you're in for a treat.

The end of the gods started when my math test began. I was on the edge of my seat because I knew this test counted for 30 percent of my grade, and if I failed, I would break the record for being the world's first kid to fail 63 tests in a row. And trust me, it isn't cool. "Hey, Wade, mind if I copy off you?" the class bully, Mike, asked. "No, shut up," I replied as quietly as I could. "Mr. Knox! Please, no talking!" Mrs. Becky snapped.

It was not long before the bell rang. I got up from my seat and walked out of the classroom before Mr. Punch Face (Mike) could beat me up. (Did I mention that Mike is known for breaking the vice principal's nose?) I quickly walked to the cafeteria, trying not to be seen, which was easy because dozens of kids burst out of each door I saw. It took about five minutes before I got to the cafeteria. "Welcome to the death zone," I muttered to myself. Everywhere I looked, there was either a kid beating up another or a kid starting a food fight.

I sat down and started to open my lunch until my best friend, Scott Williams, also known as the kid of surprises, jumped out from the other end of the table. "What's up, Wade? Why so down?" Scott asked. "I just feel like a stupid, depressed emo kid who doesn't know what to do with my life," I replied. "Man, that's harsh. Anyway, got to go; it's class time," Mike said, trying to sound upbeat.

I walked through the hall, feeling so bummed because I barely touched my sandwich. But the real problem was I wasn't looking where I was going, and I bet you know where that led to. I bumped into somebody. "Oh dang, sorry about that; here, I'll help you," I said guiltily. The next thing I knew, I was face-to-face with Bethany Luis, the coolest girl in 7th grade I had ever seen. "Oh, sorry; I should get to class," she said, turning the other way. "Oh yeah, me too. Sorry again." I continued walking, thinking about how cute that girl was until some random kid bumped into me and brought me back to reality. “Come on, man, watch where you're going,” I snarled. But when he turned, all I saw was a tall kid with bloodshot eyes staring at me, and all my instincts insisted on one thing: run.

Y9B  Muki

Y9B   Cici
