首届世界古典学大会将于2024年11月6日至8日在北京召开，并前往山东、河南、四川三地开展“走读中国”活动，实地感知中华文明开放包容的文明特质和文化特征，沉浸式感受中华优秀传统文化的创造性转化和创新性发展。The inaugural World Conference of Classics will be held in Beijing from November 6 to 8, 2024, with a "Exploring China" activity taking place in Shandong, Henan, and Sichuan. This program allows participants to experience firsthand the open and inclusive characteristics of Chinese civilization and immerse themselves in the creative transformation and innovative development of China’s outstanding traditional culture.![]()
据悉，此次大会由中国社会科学院、教育部、文化和旅游部与希腊文化部、希腊雅典科学院主办，大会筹办工作得到北京大学、清华大学、中国人民大学、山东大学、四川大学、西南大学等高校，以及山东、河南、四川三地的大力支持。The Congress is jointly organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Greece’s Ministry of Culture and the Academy of Athens. It has received strong support from leading Chinese universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Shandong University, Sichuan University, and Southwest University, as well as from the local governments in Shandong, Henan, and Sichuan.本届大会以“古典文明与现代世界”为主题，旨在从古典文明的研究视域出发，回溯人类思想之源、总结人类历史智慧、发掘人类文明传统，为加强文明交流互鉴夯实学理根基，为解决现代世界问题提供智慧启示，为促进人类发展进步注入思想动能，践行全球文明倡议，推动构建人类命运共同体。The theme of this Conference is "Classical Civilization and the Modern World." It aims to trace the origins of human thought, draw wisdom from human history, and explore the traditions of human civilization through the lens of classical studies. By doing so, it seeks to lay a solid theoretical foundation for intercultural exchange, provide insights for addressing contemporary global challenges, inspire human progress, implement the Global Civilization Initiative, and contribute to building a shared future for humanity.届时，将有400余名中外嘉宾代表与会，包括来自韩国、日本、埃及、德国、俄罗斯、法国、希腊、意大利、英国、加拿大、美国、阿根廷、澳大利亚等30个国家的知名高校、智库、研究机构的近200名外方嘉宾，以及来自中国社会科学院、北京大学、清华大学等国内智库和高校的中方知名专家、优秀青年学者等200余人，围绕古典文明相关议题深入研讨对话，为世界古典文明研究者交流思想、凝聚共识提供重要平台。More than 400 guests and representatives will attend, including nearly 200 international guests from well-known universities, think tanks, and research institutions in 30 countries, such as South Korea, Japan, Egypt, Germany, Russia, France, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Argentina, and Australia. Additionally, over 200 distinguished Chinese experts and young scholars from institutions like the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University will engage in in-depth discussions on topics related to classical civilization, providing an essential platform for scholars of classical studies worldwide to exchange ideas and build consensus.作为此次大会重要配套活动之一，首届世界古典学大会“走读中国之四川行”活动于11月3日至5日举行，来自16个国家的嘉宾代表齐聚四川，感受巴蜀自然风物繁盛、历史底蕴厚重、文脉悠远绵长。As a key event of the Conference, the "Exploring China in Sichuan" will take place from November 3 to 5. Representatives from 16 countries will gather in Sichuan to feel Sichuan’s abundant natural resources, rich history, and brilliant cultural heritage.四川是中华文明重要发祥地之一，以三星堆遗址和金沙遗址为代表的古蜀文明是长江上游古代文明发展的高峰，生动展现了中华文明的连续性、创新性、统一性、包容性与和平性。Sichuan, a vital birthplace of Chinese civilization, is home to the ancient Shu culture exemplified by the Sanxingdui and Jinsha sites, which represent the height of early civilization in the upper Yangtze River. These sites vividly illustrate the continuity, innovation, unity, inclusiveness, and peaceful nature of Chinese civilization.![]()
“走读中国之四川行”活动将先后走进四川博物院、成都金沙遗址博物馆、广汉三星堆博物馆，参观被称为20世纪人类最伟大的考古发现之一的古遗址成果，观赏“太阳神鸟”金饰、青铜大立人、青铜神树等风格独特的文物，感受中华优秀传统文化、中国古典文明的丰富内涵。During the "Exploring China in Sichuan," participants will visit the Sichuan Museum, the Jinsha Site Museum in Chengdu, and the Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan, where they will see artifacts like the "Sun and Immortal Bird" gold ornament, the Bronze Standing Figure, and the Bronze Sacred Tree—unique cultural relics that embody the rich heritage of Chinese classical civilization and traditional culture.嘉宾们还前往成都大熊猫繁育研究基地，观赏憨态可掬、呆萌可爱的大熊猫，感受全球“友好使者”的独特魅力，了解中国国宝深受全球追捧背后的神奇“密码”。The guests also visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to feel the charm of lovely giant pandas.
活动期间，还将特别推介“金熊猫奖”，听取嘉宾宝贵建议，发出2025年9月出席第二届金熊猫奖活动的邀约，邀请更多人到四川走一走看一看，以四川为窗口了解中国、读懂中国。The event also includes the presentation of the Golden Panda Awards. The guests will be invited to attend the second Golden Panda Awards in September 2025 to explore Sichuan and learn more about China through Sichuan.
