Since 2001, she has visited the road 24 times and shared its natural beauty, local customs, and culture with the world through her publications and website. In 2001, at the age of 60, she first discovered and walked on its stone paths, and her passion for it has only grown since. 贾和普在书中讲述了中国先民穿越秦巴山脉，不畏艰险开拓出伟大的 “路”的故事；收集整理了古蜀道的人文历史和百年来行走过古蜀道的西方旅行者体验、感悟；她赞叹2000多年来中国对古蜀道生态环境、古树保护，考察古蜀道上传统建筑、人文遗址，体验古蜀道沿线的民风、民俗；她赏析李白、杜甫的诗，感叹曾经的“蜀道之难”和今天“中国道路的通坦”……她通过自己的视角，讲述外国人眼中的中国故事。In her book, she tells the story of the early Chinese pioneers who braved the Qinling-Bashan Mountains to carve out this great "road." She also collects and organizes the historical and cultural heritage of the Shu Road, including the experiences and reflections of Western travelers who walked it over the past century. She praises China's efforts over the past 2,000 years to protect the road's environment and ancient trees, and she has explored the traditional architecture and cultural relics along the route. She also reflects on the poetry of Li Bai and Du Fu, marveling at the "perils of the Shu Road" of the past and the accessibility of today's "Chinese roads."
