Describe an interesting person you never met but you would like to know more about him/her.

You should say:

Who this person is

How you knew him/her

Why you think he/she is interesting

And explain how you feel about this person

One person I find incredibly interesting and would love to know more about is Leonardo da Vinci, the Renaissance polymath. He was an Italian painter, inventor, scientist, and philosopher whose work has inspired countless generations.

I first learned about him in school when studying famous artists, especially his iconic painting Mona Lisa. Later, I discovered that his contributions extended far beyond art; he was also a brilliant engineer and anatomist. His notebooks are filled with sketches and ideas that were far ahead of his time, such as designs for flying machines, anatomical studies, and urban planning concepts.

What fascinates me about Leonardo is his limitless curiosity and the sheer breadth of his talents. He seemed to question everything and sought knowledge in every possible field. It’s incredible to think that one person could excel in so many areas during a time when resources and tools were limited. His ability to merge art and science into something so innovative makes him a figure I deeply admire.

If I could meet him, I’d want to ask about his creative process and how he managed to stay so inspired. I feel that Leonardo represents the boundless potential of human creativity, and learning more about him would be like uncovering the secrets of imagination and innovation.

 Part 3

1. Do you think people today are as curious as people in the past?

I think curiosity still exists today, but it’s expressed differently. In the past, curiosity often led people to explore nature, invent tools, or create art because they didn’t have much knowledge available. Today, with access to the internet and advanced technology, people can satisfy their curiosity instantly by searching for answers online. However, this convenience might make some people less motivated to dig deeper or experiment for themselves. That said, modern scientists, artists, and innovators are as curious as ever, constantly pushing boundaries in fields like artificial intelligence, space exploration, and medicine.

2. Why do you think some people become famous while others don’t?

Becoming famous often depends on a mix of talent, hard work, timing, and sometimes luck. People who stand out in their fields, like athletes, artists, or entrepreneurs, tend to attract attention because they offer something unique or impressive. Social media also plays a big role nowadays, as it gives ordinary people a platform to showcase their skills or share their stories. On the other hand, some people may be just as talented but lack opportunities or the right platform to get noticed. Fame often depends on being in the right place at the right time.

3. Do you think it's important to admire famous people? Why or why not?

I think it can be important to admire famous people, but it depends on who they are and what they represent. If someone is famous for their hard work, creativity, or positive impact, they can serve as a role model and inspire others to strive for success. For example, people like scientists or philanthropists contribute to society in meaningful ways, and admiring them can motivate others to do the same. However, admiring someone just because they’re rich or popular might not be helpful, especially if they don’t set a good example. It’s important to admire people for their values and achievements rather than just their fame.
