Tsinghua World Music Festival Vol.1
The Dawn of the South
【Content】The Dawn of the South is a metaphor symbolizing the trajectory mirroring the sun, casting its luminous radiance worldwide. It celebrates the harmonious blend of Eastern and Western musical elements, brought to life by the extraordinarily talented Simona De Rosa. Inspired by Simona's travels, 'The Dawn of the South' originated from her experiences living in New York, far west from her hometown of Naples. There, she served as a bridge between American and Mediterranean cultures through her Neapolitan dialect and music. After living and performing in China for five years, Simona found both a destination and a canvas for her musical exploration, leading to this year's tour, 'The Dawn of the South.' Featuring iconic fusions from cultures and genres across the East and the West, Simona invites the audience to join her on a musical journey that uplifts the spirit.

People often beautify their homes with paper cuttings. During the Spring Festival and wedding celebrations, in particular, paper cuttings are used to decorate doors, windows and rooms in order to enhance the joyous atmosphere. The color most frequently used in paper cutting is red, which symbolizes health and prosperity.
