Autumn Exploration in Ancient Beijing
在CEMS Welcome Party圆满举办之后，CEMS Club又为来自世界各地的MiMer们策划了一场Buddy Program专属活动，10月12日上午11点，大家在西直门地铁站集合，采取分组比赛的形式，开始了初秋京城探索之旅，让我们一起来回顾一下难忘的细节吧！
Following the successful CEMS Welcome Party, the CEMS Club organized a Buddy Program special event for MiMers from all over the world. On the morning of October 12, everyone gathered at Xizhimen metro station and began to explore Beijing city by 3 competitive teams. Let’s take a look at the unforgettable details of this event!
比赛开始，第二、第三小组势头迅猛，分别找到了“最窄”的胡同、“红墙白塔”和九龙壁并打卡拍照。
At the beginning of the competition, Teams 2 and 3 surged ahead, quickly locating the “narrowest” hutong, the “red wall and white tower,” and the “Nine-Dragon Screen”.

午饭时间到！各组纷纷走进餐馆品尝北京特色美食。
Lunchtime! We entered a restaurant to savor Beijing’s famous cuisine.

能量充足，大家在下午都到达了景山山顶，俯瞰烟雾缭绕的紫禁城。
In the afternoon, everyone made their way to the top of Jingshan Park, enjoying a breathtaking view of the mist-shrouded Forbidden City.

下山后，大家在胡同散步、骑车，体验老北京风俗民情，在街边便利店买东西、和水果摊大爷交谈合影、努力寻找四种不同类型的住宅门、收集带“厂”字的胡同名……
After descending from the top, CEMSies walked or rode bikes around hutongs, and experienced the local customs of old Beijing. They stopped by convenience stores to buy drinks, chatted and took photos with the fruit vendors, searched for four different types of doors, and collected hutong names which include the character "厂."

暴走的一天结束，黄昏时分，大家回到柳荫公园进行颁奖和活动总结，马不停蹄的第三小组收获冠军，CEMS Club为每位成员都颁发了一份清华文创奖品，恭喜他们！
As the bustling day came to a close, everyone returned to Liuyin Park for the award ceremony and event summary at dusk. The energetic Team 3 won the champions, and the CEMS Club presented each participant with a unique Tsinghua cultural souvenir as the prize. Congratulations to them!
经过一天的活动，无论是中国同学还是交换同学都对北京的历史人文增进了了解，并且收获了更深厚的友谊。大家一起合影并聚餐，给充实的一天画上圆满的句号。
After a day full of activities, both Chinese students and exchange students gained a deeper understanding of Beijing's history and culture while forging stronger friendships. We ended the day with a group photo and a hotpot dinner to mark this wonderful experience!
