Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue: Dialogue with Former New Zealand MP

New Zealand was the first developed country to agree to China's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the first to reach a bilateral free trade agreement with China, and the pioneering nation to sign a cooperation agreement to jointly build the "Belt and Road" initiative. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and New Zealand, and it is also the first year of full implementation of the China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, marking a new milestone in bilateral relations. Amidst the current complex international environment, how China-New Zealand relations will evolve and how youth will participate in future cooperation has become a key aspect. Professor Yu Jianfeng currently holds the position of Jianshu Chair Professor of Finance at Tsinghua University's Five-Star Bank School of Finance, serves as the Deputy Dean of the Institute of Financial Technology at Tsinghua University, and is the Director of the Asset Management Research Center at Tsinghua University's Five-Star Bank School of Finance. Prior to joining Five-Star Bank, he was the Piper Jaffray Chair Professor at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He was a visiting professor at Tsinghua University's Five-Star Bank School of Finance from 2014 to 2015. Since 2011, he has been a researcher at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. His main research focuses on the theoretical and empirical studies of behavioral finance and macro finance.
