The New Zealand General Election will be held on Saturday 14 October 2023. Voting will open for people who are overseas during the General Election from Wednesday 27 September.

The rules about who can vote from overseas have changed for this election. You can vote from overseas for the 2023 General Election if you are enrolled and:
are a New Zealand citizen and have been in New Zealand in the last 6 years, or
are a New Zealand permanent resident and have been in New Zealand in the last 4 years.
