The Asia New Zealand Foundation Māori Creative (Digital) Business Delegation and the New Zealand Consulate-General in Shanghai
七月，新西兰驻上海总领事馆举办了一场毛利欢迎仪式（mihi-whakatau），热情迎接了亚洲新西兰基金会（ANZF）毛利创意（数字化）商务代表团。代表团成员与在游戏、娱乐、艺术及营销等领域的专家展开了深入交流。
In July, the New Zealand Consulate-General in Shanghai had the honor of welcoming an Asia New Zealand Foundation delegation of Māori Creative (Digital) business leaders with a mihi-whakatau (Māori welcome), and we supported their engagements with local gaming, entertainment, arts and marketing experts.

新西兰驻上海总领事馆内，展示了毛利艺术家Johnson Witehira博士（来自Tamahaki、Ngā Puhi、 Ngāti Hinekura和 Ngaitūteauru部落）的系列作品。此次随团访问， Witehira博士首次亲眼见到这些作品，并分享了创作背后的故事。四幅画作以新西兰历史上的杰出人物为灵感，描绘了威纳·库珀（Whina Cooper）、迈克尔·约瑟夫·萨维奇（Michael Joseph Savage）、阿皮拉纳·恩加塔（Apirana Ngata）和凯特·谢泼德（Kate Sheppard）的风采。
Māori artist Dr. Johnson Witehira (Tamahaki, Ngā Puhi, Ngāti Hinekura, and Ngaitūteauru) who travelled with the delegation, gave a surprise talk about the meaning of his artwork displayed at the Consulate. His artwork features prominent New Zealanders, Whina Cooper, Michael Joseph Savage, Apirana Ngata, and Kate Sheppard. This visit was the first time Dr Witehira had seen these works displayed in Shanghai.

在沪期间，代表团还参观了上海宝山国际民间艺术博览馆。这里珍藏着毛利巨型木雕蒂卡卡诺（Te Kakano Te Waka Maumahara）。蒂卡卡诺所用的材料是一棵树龄为3500年的贝壳杉木，于2010年上海世博会期间赠予中国。明年是蒂卡卡诺落户中国的15周年。
While in Shanghai the rōpū (group) visited the Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Arts Museum, home to Te Kakano Te Waka Maumahara, a 3000-year-old kauri-wood gate way carving, gifted to the people of China from Aotearoa New Zealand during the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. Next year marks the 15th anniversary of Te Kakano coming to China.

此外，代表团还走访了上海多家知名创意科技公司，包括小红书和米哈游，就利用科技手段进行文化故事讲述进行了深入探讨。代表团成员纷纷表示，看到了与中国数字创意产业合作的广阔前景，并期待未来能与更多中国企业加深交流。
The rōpū visited major Chinese creative tech companies in Shanghai, including Xiaohongshu and miHoYo. Discussions focused on using technology for cultural story telling. The delegation saw many areas for collaboration with China's digital creative sector and welcomed the opportunity to talk and meet with innovative Chinese tech companies.

代表团参加了亚洲最大的游戏与数字展览——中国国际数码互动娱乐展览会（ChinaJoy），为此次行程画上了圆满的句号。
The rōpū ended their successful trip by visiting the China Joy Exhibition, one of the largest gaming and digital exhibitions in Asia.
此次中国行，展现了毛利与中国数字创意企业之间的诸多合作空间，特别是为双方未来在跨媒介文化故事讲述领域的合作绘制了崭新的蓝图。代表团成员收获满满，满载而归，对此次访问所建立的宝贵联系与友谊深表感激。
The Māori creative (digital) business delegation visit to China highlighted many synergies between Māori and Chinese digital creative companies, in particular the potential both sides saw in using technology for cultural storytelling across various mediums. The delegation returned to Aotearoa New Zealand richer for the experience and grateful to have made Chinese connections.
