The Paris 2024 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony took place on 26 July. New
Zealand is taking on the world with 195 New Zealand athletes likely to compete
against 206 countries. The New Zealand Team is once again shining in sports
from equestrian, to rowing, rugby sevens, swimming, canoe sprint, sailing,

Tangata。
This past weekend saw the New Zealand Team welcomed with a ceremony at New Zealand
House in Paris. Whāngārā Mai Tawhiti Kapa Haka group welcomed the athletes with
a hearty performance which included Pou Tangata, a haka created especially for
the New Zealand Team.
