关于展览丨About the Exhibition

 

「 作品集03 」是 “ARR 青年艺术家挖掘计划” 的第三期,本计划以青年艺术家的创作动向为关注核心,持续探照,以高频次的动作为期待发现陌生语感的目光开辟场域。无论时代气象如何轮转,为未知而保留的空间仍会持续敞开。ARR期待这一计划能够保持其建立多元连接的使命,并为今天的艺术现场作出些微推动作用,重要的是让“可能性”得以持续发生。

 

本次展览的参展艺术家分别是:李创李、黎勤斌、伊文兵、周心语,展览将于 2024 年 10 月 5 日至 2024 年 10 月 25 日期间向公众开放。

 

Portfolio III is the third phase of the ARR Young Artists Discovery Program. The program centers on the creative trajectories of young artists, continuously illuminating their work through frequent activities aimed at opening up spaces for discovering new and unfamiliar artistic expressions. Regardless of the changing dynamics of the times, the space for the unknown will remain open. ARR hopes that this program will continue to fulfil its mission of fostering diverse connections and making a modest contribution to the current art scene, with the important goal of sustaining the emergence of new "possibilities".
 
The artists in this exhibition are Li Chuangli, Li Qinbin, Yi Wenbing, and Zhou Xinyu. The exhibition will be open to the public from 5th Oct, 2024, to 25th Oct, 2024.

李创李 LI Chuangli

1991年生于武汉,现工作生活于武汉。2014年毕业于湖北师范大学美术学院。李创李近期的创作表现出对现代主义相关议题的广泛兴趣,并在波普艺术的路径中展开绘画工作。这些作品是对当代社会生活中与大众文化、商业产品以及社交媒体相关图像的拼贴和挪用,并使用广告画的技术方法进行创作。

Li Chuangli was born in WuHan in 1991,he works and lives in WuHan. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Hubei Normal University in 2014. Li Chuangli's recent works show a broad interest in modernist-related issues and he has developed paintings in the path of pop art. These works are collages and appropriations of images related to mass culture, commercial products and social media in contemporary social life, and are created using the technical methods of advertising posters.

黎勤斌 LI Qinbin

1996年生于中国安徽。2019年本科毕业于中国美术学院油画系。2022年硕士毕业于中国美术学院油画系。现工作生活于厦门、杭州。

 

Li Qinbin, born in 1996 in Anhui, China, graduated with a bachelor's degree in oil painting from the China Academy of Art in 2019. He completed his master's degree in oil painting at the same institution in 2022. He currently works and lives in Amoy and Hangzhou.

 

黎勤斌的创作关注进化与扩张这一生命的永恒欲望。其系列创作“天堂制造”从模仿神创世界的一般人造物,到隐喻与叙事的意义探索,再到终极人造物AI的自动创造,人类完成了“由人入神”的进化。而ai又将成为“新神”的子民被赋予生命,再次上演“机器成神”的进化历程。对未知与危险的探索与挑战指向的正是对于不断扩张的人类能力的向往。

 

Li Qinbin's creation focuses on the eternal desire for evolution and expansion of life. His series "MADE IN HEAVEN" explores this theme, starting from the imitation of divine creation through ordinary human-made objects, progressing to the exploration of metaphor and narrative significance, and finally to the autonomous creation by AI, the ultimate human-made object. Humanity achieves an evolution "from human to divine," while AI, becoming the offspring of this "new god," is granted life and again enacts the evolutionary journey of "machines becoming gods." The exploration and challenge of the unknown and the dangerous point directly to the aspiration for ever-expanding human capabilities.

伊文兵 YI Wenbing

1995年5月生于山西,2020年研究生毕业于四川音乐学院油画系。


Yi Wenbing was born in Shanxi Province in May 1995 and graduated with a postgraduate degree from the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music in 2020.

 

创作概述:

 

创作方式大概源于记忆中闪烁不定的符号。而对面记忆,消耗不可避免,经验的堆砌也无法弥补已经褪散和将要失去的。在创作中我刻意削弱了叙事性,通过线条和色块不断覆盖挤压形成抽象的肌理以及空间关系,这种生长是有机的,在具象涌现时消退。遮蔽与失控都是记忆存在的暗示,反复的叠加消解亦是作品本身代谢的痕迹。

 

我期望的画面是一种从内部生发,在不同维度,按照各自的生长逻辑,展现出物质形态以及生命精神的同源性,并处在各自流动的关系中。作品的推进是从无到有的过程,我也把它理解为关系建立的过程。从一个点或者一道笔触出发,放弃形象和空间的预设,这些基础的点、线以及机理会牵引画面不断生长,并与创作时的一些情绪,记忆片段不断融合碰撞。更多的时候,我无法预知画面会走向何处,在失控边缘反复拉扯,直至平衡。我希望画面的氛围是统一且充满张力的,并在这种有机的关系中不断接近真实。

 

The creative approach approximately stems from the flickering symbols in the memory. Confronting memory, consumption is inevitable, and the accumulation of experience cannot compensate for what has already dissipated and what is about to be lost. In the creative process, I deliberately weakened the narrativity and continuously formed abstract textures and spatial relations through the repeated covering and squeezing of lines and color blocks. This growth is organic and fades when the figurative emerges. Both obscurity and loss of control are indications of the existence of memory. The repeated superposition and dissolution are also the traces of the metabolism of the work itself.

 

The picture I anticipate is one that develops from within, revealing the homology of material forms and the spirit of life in different dimensions and following their respective growth logics, while remaining in their respective fluid relationships. The advancement of the work is a process from nothingness to existence, which I also interpret as the process of establishing relationships. Starting from a point or a brushstroke, by abandoning the presuppositions of image and space, these fundamental points, lines, and textures will lead the picture to continuously grow and constantly merge and collide with certain emotions and memory fragments during the creative process. More often, I am unable to predict which way the picture will head, repeatedly struggling at the verge of losing control until a balance is achieved. I hope that the atmosphere of the picture is unified and full of tension, and that it continuously approaches reality within this organic relationship.

周心语 ZHOU Xinyu

1997年出生于浙江兰溪,现工作和生活于杭州。2019年毕业于中国美术学院动画系,获学士学位。2022年毕业于中国美术学院版画系第三工作室获硕士学位。周心语的艺术创作早期以动画和数码绘画为媒介,她个人独立执导并制作的动画作品《舟》曾入围法国国际动画电影节以及巴西国际动画电影节等。近期周心语更多地以综合材料绘画为她的主要创作媒介。周心语的创作围绕着个人经验以及公共性的事件,但她并不将这些直接转译为画面,而是从其中衍生的情绪生发出创作。她从失真的影像、光影碎片中汲取灵感,并且关注现实生活的脆弱感以及转瞬即逝的诸多事物。她笔下的人物常浓郁地体现出与现实世界的疏离感,停滞的情绪与冷静的凝视相交织,她将绘画作为一种对现实世界提问的手段。

 

Zhou Xinyu, Born in 1997 in Lanxi, Zhejiang, now living and working in Hangzhou. Graduated from the Animation Department of China Academy of Art with a bachelor's degree in 2019. She is currently studying a master’s degree in the third studio of the Printmaking Department of the Chinese Academy of Arts. Zhou Xinyu's early art practice was mediated by animation and digital painting. The animated work Zhou, which she independently directed and produced, was selected by the Paris International Animation Film Festival, Brazil International Animation Film Festival. Recently, Zhou Xinyu prefers to use comprehensive materials as the main medium in her works. Zhou Xinyu's creation revolves around personal experience and public events, but she does not translate these directly into pictures, but creates from the emotions derived therein. She draws inspiration from distorted images, light and shadow fragments, and focusses on the fragility of real life and fleeting surroundings. Figures in her works often reflect a strong sense of alienation from the real world. Her stagnant emotions are intertwined with calm gaze. She uses painting as a means of asking questions about the real world.
