Speaker from RELX (TBC)

At RELX, AI isn’t new to us. We’ve been embracing artificial intelligence technologies for well over a decade, incorporating extractive and now generative AI techniques into much of our work.

While extractive AI is relevant for machine-to-machine interactions, generative AI is particularly relevant for human-to-machine interactions, such as lawyers, doctors or medical researchers. When combining extractive AI with trusted content, you can make a real difference for these professional customers who make high value decisions and need to trust the information they are getting. Applying generative AI tools can be transformative for their workflow.

Around 11,000 technologists, over half of whom are software engineers, work at RELX. Annually, the company spends $1.7bn on technology. The combination of our rich data sets, technology infrastructure and knowledge of how to use next generation innovation allow us to create effective solutions for customers.

In January 2024, Morgan Stanley announced 2023 was the year of the AI enablers, and 2024 will be the year of the AI adopters. RELX has launched ten commercial products that incorporate generative AI, which have already made a difference to our professional customers.
