Invited speakers:
Susan Anenberg is a Professor and Chair of the Environmental and Occupational Health Department at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. She is also the Director of the GW Climate and Health Institute. Dr. Anenberg's research focuses on the health implications of air pollution and climate change, from local to global scales. She currently serves on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Science Advisory Board, the World Health Organization's Global Air Pollution and Health Technical Advisory Group, and the National Academy of Science's Committee to Advise the U.S. Global Change Research Program. She also serves as President of the GeoHealth section of the American Geophysical Union.
Wei Peng is an assistant professor at Princeton University, with a joint appointment between the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment. Dr. Peng’s research uses computational models to quantify difficult tradeoffs of climate policy across social, political, and environmental aspects. Her research has been published in Nature, Nature Climate Change, Nature Sustainability, PNAS among others, and has been featured in national and local media such as PBS and NPR. She also currently serves as a co-author of the Fifth National Climate Assessment.
