In the Alborz Province of Iran, KAV Architects ingeniously built a house that coexists with two ancient walnut trees. Completed in 2022, it successfully resolved the challenges brought by geography and culture, and wrote a beautiful chapter of harmonious unity between nature and residence.
在伊朗阿尔伯兹省的土地上，KAV Architects 匠心独运，打造了一座与两棵古老核桃树共生的住宅，其落成于 2022 年，成功化解了地理与文化带来的挑战，书写了自然与居住和谐统一的美好篇章。
From the perspective of site selection and layout, two ancient walnut trees became the core consideration of the design at the beginning of the project. The designer did not choose to remove the trees, but creatively placed the main building between the two trees. The building volume stretches along the axis of the walnut trees, as if it was "grown" naturally by the trees.
从选址与布局来看，项目伊始，两棵古老核桃树成为设计的核心考量因素。设计师没有选择移除树木，而是极具创意地将建筑主体安置于两棵树之间。建筑体量沿核桃树的轴线伸展，仿佛是被树木自然 “生长” 出来一般。
The transparency of the building gradually increases towards the tree, until it reaches a unique state of integration between the inside and the outside. Surrounding the walnut tree on the south side, the building extends outward like an arm, cleverly enclosing the entrance and exit space, just like the building gently embraces the tree, bringing a warm and unique homecoming experience to residents and visitors.
建筑向树木一侧的透明度逐渐增加，直至达到一种内外交融的独特境界。围绕南侧核桃树，建筑向外延伸出如手臂般的结构，巧妙围合出入口空间，恰似建筑温柔地拥抱树木，为住户与访客带来温馨且独特的归家体验。
In terms of outdoor space creation, in order to strengthen the interaction between residents and walnut trees, the designer built an elevated courtyard on the roof level. This unique design allows residents to not only touch the trunk, but also get close to branches, leaves and fruits. Walking in the rooftop courtyard, from one walnut tree to another, from one shade to another, residents seem to be in a sky garden surrounded by nature, enjoying the different views and fun brought by the changing seasons, and successfully building a unique outdoor leisure world between the two walnut trees.
在室外空间营造方面，为强化住户与核桃树的互动，设计师在屋顶层面打造了一处抬高的庭院。这一独特设计使住户不仅能够触碰到树干，还能近距离接触树枝、树叶和果实。漫步于屋顶庭院，从一棵核桃树走向另一棵，从一片树荫迈向另一片树荫，住户仿佛置身于一个被自然环绕的空中花园，享受着四季变换带来的不同景致与乐趣，成功在两棵核桃树间构建出一片别样的户外休闲天地。
The interior design takes into full consideration the needs of different generations in the family, dividing the living area into two distinct parts: transparent and rigid. The public area adopts a transparent design concept, and large areas of glass bring in ample natural light and a wide outdoor view, allowing the indoor and outdoor spaces to interact, creating an open and bright atmosphere for family members to communicate and interact. As for the private space, except for the daughter's room, which is different due to the modern perspective, the rest are located in the rigid area.
室内空间设计充分考虑到家庭中不同代际的需求，将生活区域划分为透明与刚性两个截然不同的部分。公共区域采用透明设计理念，大面积的玻璃材质引入充足的自然光线与开阔的室外视野，使室内外空间产生对话，营造出开放、明亮的氛围，便于家庭成员进行交流与互动。而私密空间，除了女儿房间因现代视角而有所不同外，其余部分均位于刚性区域。
The relatively closed design here has limited vision, providing residents with a quiet and independent resting environment. In terms of material application, the rigid part uses heavy-textured rocks, whose rough texture and natural color convey a simple and calm temperament, which is consistent with the quiet needs of private space; the transparent part uses soft cement and glass. The transparency of glass and the smooth texture of cement enhance the lightness and modernity of the space, highlighting the openness and vitality of the public area. The sharp contrast between the two materials further strengthens the distinction of spatial functions.
这里采用相对封闭的设计，视野受限，为住户提供静谧、独立的休息环境。在材料运用上，刚性部分选用具有厚重质感的山石，其粗糙的纹理和自然的色彩，传递出质朴、沉稳的气质，与私密空间的静谧需求相契合；透明部分则运用柔软的水泥与玻璃，玻璃的通透和水泥的流畅质感，增强了空间的轻盈感与现代感，凸显公共区域的开放与活力，两种材料的鲜明对比进一步强化了空间功能的区分。
This residence located between two walnut trees has perfectly solved the problem of protecting nature, meeting living needs, and integrating the living habits of different generations through clever interior and exterior decoration design. It is not only a sheltered habitat, but also a vivid interpretation of the harmonious coexistence of nature and humanity, and the integration of tradition and modernity, bringing residents a unique living experience.
这座位于双核桃树间的住宅，通过巧妙的室内外装饰装修设计，完美解决了保护自然与满足居住需求、融合不同代际生活习惯的难题。它不仅是一个遮风挡雨的栖息之所，更是自然与人文和谐共生、传统与现代相互交融的生动诠释，为住户带来独一无二的生活体验。
