MONOLITE is located in Straszyn, Poland, 12 km from the center of Gdansk. This unique land is surrounded by cliffs on the eastern edge, with the Radunia Stream flowing below and ancient forests lush and leafy. PAWEL LIS ARCHITEKCI was commissioned by investors to build a private residential complex consisting of 8 single-family houses. The building facades and roofs are decorated with stone, which gives it the name MONOLITE. Its interior and exterior decoration design is unique and perfectly integrated with the natural environment.
MONOLITE 坐落于波兰斯特拉申，距离格但斯克市中心 12 公里。这片独特的土地，东部边缘是悬崖，下方有拉杜尼亚溪流潺潺流过，古老的森林枝繁叶茂。PAWEL LIS ARCHITEKCI 事务所受投资者委托，在此打造了一个由 8 栋独栋房屋组成的私密住宅群，因建筑外立面和屋顶采用石材装饰而得名 MONOLITE，其室内外装饰装修设计别具一格，与自然环境完美融合 。
设计灵感：自然意象的巧妙转译
The design of MONOLITE is inspired by Toros, a "small iceberg" formed by wind and ocean currents near the Hel Peninsula in the Baltic Sea. The building's dynamic form, towering gables, diagonal windows, and cantilevered floors all echo the geometric shapes of the broken and stacked icebergs. At the same time, the huge boulders left over from the local Ice Age - boulders, also provided important inspiration for the design. The stone finishes used on the building's roof and facade are as solid and textured as these boulders, giving the building complex a unique sculptural temperament, which complements the name "MONOLITE".
MONOLITE 的设计灵感源自波罗的海海尔半岛附近由风和洋流堆积形成的 “小冰山” 托罗斯（Toros）。建筑灵动的形态、高耸的山墙、窗户的对角线以及悬挑的楼层，均呼应着冰山破碎堆叠的几何形状。同时，当地冰河时代遗留的巨大漂砾 —— 巨石，也为设计提供了重要灵感。建筑屋顶和外立面采用的石材饰面，如同这些巨石一般坚固而富有质感，使建筑群呈现出雕塑般的独特气质，与 “MONOLITE” 之名相得益彰。
外观设计：错落有致的石质美学
Each house has its own unique exterior. The floors of the semi-detached houses are staggered to create a varied silhouette. All buildings have a pronounced overhang on the garden side, with diagonal walls and windows, and white recesses that contrast with the overall stone body, enhancing the three-dimensional and layered feel of the building. The detached houses on the edge of the slope are even more distinctive, with additional terraces surrounded by century-old oak trees, where residents can overlook the stream and the sloping terrain and enjoy the natural beauty. The exterior walls and roofs of these houses are made of gray sandstone panels, which are equipped with ventilation systems, giving them a visually calm and solid feel, while also providing good functionality.
在外观上，每栋房屋都独具特色。半独立式房屋的楼层相互交错，形成富有变化的轮廓。所有建筑在花园一侧都有明显的楼层悬挑，墙体和窗户呈对角线形状，凹陷部分采用白色饰面，与整体的石质主体形成鲜明对比，增强了建筑的立体感和层次感。位于斜坡边缘的独立式房屋更是别具一格，它们带有额外的露台，露台被百年橡树环绕，住户能在此俯瞰溪流与倾斜的地形，欣赏到自然的美景。这些房屋的外墙和屋顶采用灰色砂岩面板，搭配通风系统，不仅在视觉上给人沉稳、坚固的感觉，还具备良好的功能性。
室内布局：舒适与实用的平衡
The interior layout focuses on the comfort and functionality of life. The first floor is usually designed as a living space, including a living room, dining room and open kitchen, in addition to a study and bathroom, with a floor height of 3 meters and a wide space. The second floor has 3 bedrooms, 1 guest room and 2 bathrooms to meet the various needs of family living. Each house is also equipped with a two-car garage for the convenience of residents.
室内布局注重生活的舒适性与功能性。一层通常设计为起居空间，包括客厅、餐厅和开放式厨房，此外还有书房和卫生间，层高 3 米，空间开阔。二层设有 3 间卧室、1 间客房和 2 间卫生间，满足家庭居住的多种需求。每栋房屋还配备了两车位的车库，方便居民使用。
生态理念：可持续发展的践行
MONOLITE has always integrated sustainable development and ecological concepts into the design and construction process. The building is perfectly integrated with the existing slopes and ancient trees to minimize damage to the natural environment. The house uses heat pump heating, equipped with cooling and heat recovery systems, and is equipped with solar roofs and energy storage equipment to achieve efficient use of energy and self-sufficiency. In addition, there is a rainwater collection pool in the park for rainwater recycling and garden irrigation; the ground hardening uses a bioactive surface to promote rainwater infiltration and protect the ecological environment.
MONOLITE 在设计与建造过程中，将可持续发展与生态理念贯穿始终。建筑与现有的斜坡及古老树木完美融合，最大程度减少对自然环境的破坏。房屋采用热泵供暖，配备制冷和热回收系统，同时安装了太阳能屋顶和储能设备，实现能源的高效利用与自给自足。此外，园区内设有雨水收集池，用于雨水回收和花园灌溉；地面硬化采用生物活性表面，促进雨水渗透，保护生态环境。
MONOLITE's interior and exterior decoration design is an in-depth exploration and practice of nature, aesthetics and sustainability. It not only provides residents with high-quality living space, but also respects and continues the local natural environment and culture, becoming a model of harmonious coexistence between modern architecture and nature.
