8分参考范文:
The bar chart illustrates the cost per kilogram of clothing imported by the European Union (EU) from six different countries in 1993 and 2003. Overall, Argentina commanded the highest price for clothing exports in both years, while Bangladesh consistently received the lowest. Over the decade, noticeable changes occurred in the prices paid to several countries, with significant increases for China and India.
In 1993, the EU paid approximately 28 pounds per kilogram to Argentina, which was the highest among the six nations. By 2003, this price slightly declined to just over 25 pounds, yet Argentina remained the top recipient of premium prices. Brazil, the second highest in both years, maintained its price level at around 23 pounds per kilogram, demonstrating remarkable stability.
Japan, on the other hand, experienced a moderate decline in its clothing export price, dropping from 15 pounds in 1993 to about 13 pounds in 2003. In contrast, China witnessed a substantial increase, with its price rising from 10 pounds to roughly 17 pounds over the same period. This sharp growth highlights China's increasing value in the clothing export market.
Similarly, India’s prices for garments doubled from 7 pounds per kilogram in 1993 to 14 pounds in 2003, marking one of the most significant price surges. Although Bangladesh remained at the bottom of the list, the price paid for its exports rose from a mere 3 pounds in 1993 to 6 pounds in 2003, indicating some improvement in the perceived value of its products.
In summary, while Argentina and Brazil consistently received the highest prices for their clothing exports, countries like China and India saw remarkable growth in their export values, reflecting their increasing competitiveness in the global market. Bangladesh, although still the lowest earner, also experienced some positive progress.

8分参考范文:
When deciding between pursuing higher education or joining the workforce immediately after school, people often consider the benefits of academic qualifications versus gaining early practical experience. While both approaches have advantages, the choice ultimately depends on career aspirations and personal goals.
One significant benefit of attending university is the acquisition of specialised knowledge and skills that are essential for certain professions. 解释Fields like medicine, law, or engineering require formal training and certification, which only universities or colleges can provide. 例子For instance, becoming a doctor necessitates years of rigorous academic study and practical internships, making higher education indispensable for such careers. (反驳best)However, university education is not always the best path, as it can be time-consuming and expensive, and many graduates face challenges securing jobs in their fields due to market saturation.
On the other hand, starting work directly after school allows individuals to gain hands-on experience and become financially independent earlier. This route is especially beneficial for those entering trades like carpentry or plumbing, where skills are primarily acquired through on-the-job training or apprenticeships. For example, many skilled tradespeople build successful careers without formal qualifications by mastering their craft over time. Additionally, by skipping university, individuals can avoid student debt and focus on practical skills, which can lead to faster career advancement in fields that value experience over degrees.
In conclusion, while entering the workforce early offers advantages such as financial independence and practical expertise, higher education provides broader career options and long-term benefits. In my opinion, pursuing a degree is more beneficial for those aiming for competitive or specialised roles. Ultimately, the decision should align with one’s career ambitions and the demands of their chosen field.
