Last weekend our Middle School Dragons Soccer teams competed in the SDRC championships hosted by QSI Shenzhen at Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre. Over three thrilling days of action, our school competed with the elite sporting schools around southern China, which included the American International School of Guangzhou, Australian International School of Hong Kong, SIS, and Utahloy International School Guangzhou. SDRC conference meets happen once a year for each of our core sports, and the host school is rotated each time. SDRC is a specialized league that offers rare opportunities for students to network and make friends whilst engaging in sports at the highest level. After three days of close competition and wonderful memories, our boys and girls matched each other by coming in fourth place, taking a way a lot of experience and memories that they will keep throughout their middle school sporting lives.
上周末，我校初中部龙之队足球队参加了由深圳QSI 在深圳湾体育中心举办的SDRC 锦标赛。在三天紧张刺激的比赛中，我校与华南地区的体育精英学校同台竞技，其中包括AISG、AISHK、SIS和UISG。SDRC大会每年举行一次，每个核心项目的主办学校都会轮换。SDRC是一个专门的联赛，为学生提供了难得的机会，让他们在参与最高水平体育运动的同时，还能建立联系、结交朋友。经过三天激烈的角逐和美好的回忆，我们的男生和女生不相上下，最终获得了第四名的好成绩，同时也收获了很多经验，这些都将成为他们中学体育生活中难忘的回忆。
In other sports news, our Development boys teams were also involved in some tournament action over the weekend at the PRC yellow division exchange, which was followed up with an impressive11-0 win over SWIS B team on Monday evening. Four was the lucky number at the weekend as our badminton team also got their first taste of competition as they headed to BASIS for the SISAC invitational event, coming in fourth place.
Looking ahead to next week, our soccer teams have their FINAL home game of the season as we welcome ISNS to town for SISAC match day 6. We hope to see many of you there to support and roar our dragons to victory!
