This week is the biggest it can get in terms of sporting events happening in a single week! We returned from the October break on Tuesday and went straight into our 4th round of SISAC soccer matches for middle school with an away day at SWIS. With our boys playoffs hopes hanging in the balance, they wasted no time in getting the job done as they cruised to a 3-0 win, with Paddy Murphy keeping a second clean sheet in as many games since taking over the No1 jersey. For our girls, it was business as usual with their fourth win in four SISAC games, taking them top of the SISAC table for the first time. With two games to go it looks like both teams will be heading for the SISAC playoffs come the end of the month.

HS Volleyball Updates高中排球体育新闻
In high school sports, it's been a few weeks since our Dragons were last in action, and that combined with the mid season break made for a shaky return to action against Basis on Thursday night, Our girls were narrowly beaten by BASIS 2-0 with both sets going close, whilst our boys refused to lay down, losing the first set, but battling back to take the second, before the decider went all the way to 20-18. Not the results we were looking for, however, there were encouraging signs for both teams as they head into their PRC volleyball events this weekend ranked as the number 1 and number 2 seeds respectively.

Our cross country team got their first taste of racing this week too as QSI hosted the SSIAC round 1 for all Shenzhen international school runners. In a morning of closely contested running, we had 13 personal bests to celebrate as well as a high 1st place gold medal in the boy 3K category for Jason Liu!
This week also saw our badminton team for middle school begin their campaigns for SISAC glory with first practices being held off campus at our training facility. Our boys and girls will form a team of 10 strong as they head to BASIS for the SISAC one day tournament this weekend.

This week has also seen QSI hosting the SDRC regional 3 soccer tournament for the 5 elite sports schools in the Guangdong region with a full report to come next week. This week is what you call a super Saturday with the following all in action:
