EducationUSA 将在上海(12月7日-8日)和北京(12月14日-15日)分别举办为期两天的设计挑战工作坊!本次工作坊将由萨凡纳艺术与设计大学(SCAD)的两位资深教授亲自授课,带领学生通过独特的叙事手法和动态设计布局,以简易的技术方法创造出非凡的设计作品!
工作坊结束后,所有完成课程的学生都将获得结课证书。此外,EducationUSA 还将与 SCAD 教授一同评选出优秀作品,并为获奖者颁发荣誉证书。
EducationUSA is part of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and operates over 400 advising centers in more than 170 countries worldwide. Each year, international students from across the globe access accurate, comprehensive, unbiased, and timely information about applying to U.S. universities and colleges through the EducationUSA global network.
EducationUSA will be hosting two, two-day design challenge workshops in Shanghai (December 7-8) and Beijing (December 14-15). These workshops will be led by two experienced professors from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), guiding students to create extraordinary design works using unique narrative techniques and dynamic design layouts with simple technical methods.
At the end of the workshop, all students who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion. Additionally, EducationUSA and SCAD professors will select outstanding works, and the winners will be awarded an honorary certificate.
讲师介绍 Meet Your Mentors
Munkhtsetseg Nandigjav, Associate Dean, School of Animation and Motion
As Associate Dean for the SCAD School of Animation and Motion, Munkhtsetseg Nandigjav has led the digital communication program as Chair and Associate Chair and previously taught at the university for five years. She has created designs to elevate the human experience and grow and nurture developing artists. Based on her computer graphics technology and animation background, Nandigjav’s diverse experience ranges from art and design to 3D production pipeline and interactive spatial experience.
Nandigjav has served with ACM SIGGRAPH in a number of capacities for more than a decade, most recently directing the computer animation festival for SIGGRAPH 2020 and chairing the conference for SIGGRAPH 2022. She's also served as a member of advisory groups for the SIGGRAPH conferences and the SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival. Before joining SCAD, she worked as a 3D designer, animator, and creative director on projects where her clients included Crayola, Runic Games, GE Aviation, Brown Forman, Samtec, and more.
Thomas Hull, Chair, Graphic Design
Thomas Hull, SCAD Chair of Graphic Design, has worked extensively in brand and corporate communications for over 25 years. As Partner and Design Director for Houston-based design firm Rigsby Hull, Thomas—along with Founding Partner Lana Rigsby—worked with a diverse range of Fortune 500 companies and organizations throughout the US, including Arthur M Blank Group/Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Dell, ExxonMobil, Sappi Fine Papers, Thornton Tomasetti, and the Union of Concerned Scientists.
His work is part of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum’s permanent collection, the Denver Art Museum, and the Rare Book and Manuscript Library and Columbia University. The New York Times’ art critic Steven Heller profiles Rigsby Hull’s work in his A Century of Design Milestones. In each of its 40th, 50th, and 60th Anniversary issues, Communication Arts has cited Hull’s work as among the most influential in American Graphic Design.
Thomas is a former board member of the AIGA’s Houston chapter and served as vice-chairman of the board for the Printing Museum in Houston.
