欢迎各位英语教学同仁2024年11月23日前来北京美国中心，参加由地区英语项目办公室（Regional English Language Office）举办的英语教学研讨会！我们很荣幸地邀请到Serrina Smith和Terra Leigh Nicoll与大家一起探讨分享有关英语教学的实用策略。研讨会日程见下文。

Dr. Serrina Smith is a passionate international educator with more than a decade of experience in diverse educational roles across multiple countries, including China and the USA. She holds K-12 licenses in Special Education and ESL, along with a K-12 Principal Credential. Dr. Smith earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Criminal Justice, followed by a Master’s in Special Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Her commitment lies in fostering inclusivity and ensuring access to quality education for all students.
Terra Leigh Nicoll is a former participant in the English Language Fellow Program, a U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs exchange program. She was hosted at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She also was a Virtual English Language Fellow (VELF) where she taught Indian diplomats policy writing online. Terra is currently an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Lecturer at New York University in Shanghai. Terra has a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and six years of teaching experience in university, adult education, and middle school. She has taught in The United States, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and China.

This event is ONLY open to English teachers, researchers, and university students. The event will be conducted in English. Audio or video recording of the program will not be permitted.

You must bring both your valid photo ID and registration confirmation in order to get into the BAC. Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted. Large bags and laptops will not be allowed into BAC for this event. Portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are allowed to bring into the BAC. Please wait in line at the East Gate of the Embassy.

Please arrive 20 minutes earlier ahead of the start time. You will NOT be admitted if you arrive half an hour after the program has started. If you cannot show up for the event, please cancel your reservation via email to RELOBeijing@state.gov at least 24 hours ahead. Otherwise, for future events, we may cancel your reservations.

Directions: Metro Line 10, Liangmaqiao Station Exit B, walk northeast to the Tian Ze Road intersection of An Jia Lou Road, north side of the Visas Office.
