“Minor Cold” is the 23rd solar term of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms. For most areas of China, it marks the start of the coldest days of the year.
“小寒”是24节气中的第23个。对中国来说，“小寒”意味着气温将转入最低时期。
Laba Porridge is made by boiling a variety of ingredients, usually including rice, millet, red beans, mung beans, red dates, longan, lotus seeds, etc. Eating Laba Porridge during Minor Cold signifies harvest, auspiciousness and good health.
腊八粥是由多种食材熬制而成的粥，通常包括大米、小米、红豆、绿豆、红枣、桂圆、莲子等。在小寒时节，食用腊八粥寓意着丰收、吉祥和健康。
