工作介绍

Dr. Sijia Geng's group at Johns Hopkins University, Power & EnergyNetwork System Analysis (PENSA)Laboratory, has multiple openings for Ph.D positions starting in Fall 2025. These positions are fully funded, including tuition, stipend, and medical insurance. Selected candidates will work with Dr. Geng on:

  • Dynamics, control, and stability of large-scale inverter-based power systems
  • Analysis and control of nonlinear and hybrid dynamical systems using data-driven and geometric methods
  • Applications of AI in networked energy and electrified transportation systems

Competitive candidates are self-motivated and have strong mathematical skillsPreferred qualifications include a background in one or more of the following areascontrol theory, dynamica systems, mathematica analysis,optimization, machinelearning, power systems, and power electronics. A master's degree is preferred butnot required.

导师介绍
Dr. Sijia Geng is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. She is a Core Faculty with the RalphO'Connor Sustainable Energy Institute and an affiliate with the Dept. of AppliedMathematics & Statistics and the Dept. of Computer Science. Prior to joining JHU.she was a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT. Dr. Geng received a Ph.D. degree in ECE from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, where she also obtained two M.S. degrees in Mathematics and ECE. Her research focuses on developing rigorous theory and efficient computational tools to enable sustainable, autonomous. and resilient energy systems of the future. Dr, Geng was the recipient of a BarbourScholarship and was named Rising Stars in EECS at MIT in 2021. She received a Best Paper Award at the 2022 MIT/Harvard Applied Energy Symposium.
