Dr. Sijia Geng's group at Johns Hopkins University, Power & EnergyNetwork System Analysis (PENSA)Laboratory, has multiple openings for Ph.D positions starting in Fall 2025. These positions are fully funded, including tuition, stipend, and medical insurance. Selected candidates will work with Dr. Geng on:
Dynamics, control, and stability of large-scale inverter-based power systems Analysis and control of nonlinear and hybrid dynamical systems using data-driven and geometric methods Applications of AI in networked energy and electrified transportation systems
Competitive candidates are self-motivated and have strong mathematical skillsPreferred qualifications include a background in one or more of the following areascontrol theory, dynamica systems, mathematica analysis,optimization, machinelearning, power systems, and power electronics. A master's degree is preferred butnot required.
