The opening ceremony started with promotional videos from the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism and IHA, as well as a recap video of the previous stations of the Tour Exhibition of Chinese Traditional Fine Arts.

Sister City Relationship
This exhibition is a prestigious international cultural exchange program, awarded the "Silver Dove Award" by the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality for the "Globalization of Chinese Cultures" initiative. It also marks the fourth station of the International Tour Exhibition of Chinese Traditional Fine Arts, following exhibitions in Alexandria, Egypt; Istanbul, Turkiye; and Bratislava, Slovakia.
The exhibition is divided into four sections: "Beauty in Crafting - A Selection of Shanghai Art and Crafts," "Marvel of the East - Handicrafts of Shanghai Style," "Art of Peking Opera - A Selection of Chinese Theatre Art" and "Painting of Life and Nostalgia - A Selection of Shanghai Farmer Paintings." The exhibition showcases nearly 100 exquisite works from Shanghai's intangible cultural heritage preservation units and inheritors. Featured displays will include traditional Shanghai farmer paintings, opera arts, fine crafts, movable type printing, woodblock printing, embroidery, grass and bamboo weaving, Chinese frog button making, and paper-cutting, all of which reflect the unique characteristics of Shanghai's cultural heritage.
