中法文化之春始终鼓励和促进法中两国艺术机构和艺术家之间的交流。于中法建交60周年的历史性时刻,中法文化之春向全国内推出了400多场精彩纷呈的文化艺术交流活动。此次,以实验性跨学科教育模式享有盛名的巴黎-赛尔奇国立高等艺术学院也因此契机来到中国,携手长乐滨海数字教育小镇,以“海洋-科技”为题,展开在地研究与艺术共创项目。桂湖美术馆作为该项目支持单位,延续上半年中法文化之春·福州站热度,以艺术为桥,促进中法文化交流。

海洋的开放与神秘是激发想象力的共享能量场。明朝永乐至宣德年间,郑和在长乐古时太平港伺风扬帆,宝船载满珍奇,七下西洋交流互鉴,流传为人类文明史的佳话。过去的深水良港经过沧海桑田的演变,成为诸多高科技巨头驻扎总部与基地的热土。数字教育小镇以智能为载体,延续郑和放眼世界的精神,探索超越时空局限的思想连接的可能性与巨大潜力。小镇上停泊着的两座“船”在壮阔的历史长河中,遥相呼应着曾经的壮举与未来的畅想。一艘致敬郑和宝船的艺术中心,一艘原版《星际穿越》的“企业家号”总部办公大楼,它们标志着交叉与融合的思维坐标,为此次与巴黎-赛尔奇国立高等艺术学院的合作引航。

在法国众多著名艺术学府中,巴黎-赛尔奇国立高等艺术学院(以下简称“ENSAPC”)因跨文化的前沿视野与专注研究创新而独树一帜。越洋赴约,面对山海与古今、全球与地方、文明与生态、科技与人文共生孕育的独特现实,5位ENSAPC艺术家、2位中国艺术家、1位驻地导师、及3位中法联合策展人,将通过为期一周的行走调研,造访互联网、通讯、大数据、人工智能、港口、纺织、物流等长乐滨海新区高新业态,以及民俗古迹、手艺工坊、村社宗祠等物质/非物质文化遗产。在科技史、海洋史、媒介学与人类学的视野下,审视现代化所造成的断裂与迭变,借助中法双向视角,激发共创,重构本土叙事,呈现一场倾注现实关怀、创造热情与明日憧憬的展览。

此外,ENSAPC还将精选与此次驻地主题相关的往届优秀毕业作品参展,与展览开幕同期的艺术家工作坊,讲演及圆桌对话等系列活动,共同促进中法两国在人文与科技领域多元交流。从行走到共创,从展览到对话,面对复杂的人类世问题缠绕,更需要真实的深度连接,智慧共济。

站在如今遍布着高科技产业的长乐滨海新区,难以想象这片热土曾是一条繁忙的水路航道。它的开辟起源,有如一则传奇。故事中,人力无法撼动的巨石堵塞着黄岐港,却因天降神意豁然顿开,此种虚构不啻洛夫洛克、拉图尔等人所深信的盖娅假说。人海之间,波浪往返于过去与未来、自然与科技、现实与神秘、真实与虚构。

谱写了七下西洋之史诗的航海家郑和也曾在此处港口驻扎等候天意。载满珍奇的宝船并没有机械动力系统,但经验丰富的水手知晓无形的季风中暗藏的能量密码。船是一块移动的陆地,或陆地的隐喻。郑和的宝船代表着伟大的帝国及其文明,是柏拉图意义上的“国家之船(the ship of state)”,然而,在水手的眼中,船所承载的,是在其之上所有事物的命运,包括它自身。“在船上,存在和技术(craft)难分彼此。”(约翰·杜海姆·彼得斯)。这也成为人类世的隐喻。

在海德格尔看来,“技术是揭示存在的一种方式”。船舶的探险勾勒出海陆边界,当世界最终被呈现在一张精确的地图上时,人类对脚踏实地的安全感的渴望与新大陆的诱惑,使得海洋在很长时间内仅是一片蓝色的过渡地带。陆地有如文明之舟,而随着技术的发展,海陆之间的界限依然清晰,与此同时,人类业已开始向太空寻找未来栖居之地。

在圣经创始传说中,地球是人类借以躲避原初洪水泛滥的方舟。这亦观照着当下频发的大规模危机与挑战所开启的后人类世思考中,法国哲学家拉图尔等学者展开建设性地理论干预工作——打破基于地理、政治、资本、技术所构造的受现代性禁锢的全球化认知遮蔽,重返由生命与非生命之间复杂的生成关系中藏匿的极具能动性的盖亚星体系统,寻找充满活力的未来。

盖亚仅限于大气层和母岩层之间几公里的临界区。在此,地球上的生命及其物质环境,包括大气、海洋和地表岩石紧密结构在一起。由“在地者”(terrestrial)组成的“行动者网络”(ANT,Actor Network Theory),活跃地响应变化。所有的行动都将超越个体,拉图尔以“行动波”(waves of action)来比喻盖亚所拥有的自我调节的能力是相互交织的网络引发能动性增生。

 
长乐滨海

此次驻地以“Terrestrial Waves”为题,通过中法两国艺术家跨文化、跨学科、跨媒介的在地走访调研,考察与全球化和现代性发展同步的技术和观念变革,如何冲击本土的物质环境与社会人文。在拉图尔虚构的天文馆中,“地球”的不同发展阶段被揭示为7个不同的星球,我们现在处于哪个星球?未来又将向何处着陆?以艺术耦合感知,通过创作激发行动,在当下独特而陌异的情境中,开启排演。

对此次驻地,海洋不仅是“行动者网络”中的重要部分,隐秘地形塑着地方生态与文明形态。同时,海洋在世界史和文明史上的作用近几年被重新提出后,对海洋学(Oceanography)的关注也是此番驻地的铺垫。诚如西恩·温斯特所言,“海洋巨大的复杂性对人类历史至关重要。”尽管媒介生态日益加速进化,海洋仍存蓄着封闭的神秘。它的异质性与船这一首个完全人造的环境之间生动的比照,提醒着我们“技术是人类的命运”(约翰·杜海姆·彼得斯),亦为本地目前着重发展的高新产业与媒介环境提供了另一个思考比照。当下,因为“向海而生”的发展战略,海洋催生了更多试图揭示它的技术。而这些技术也成为我们借以思考人类命运走向的媒介。

在约翰·杜海姆·彼得斯的新作《奇云:媒介即存有》中,他追溯人类传播实践,重新梳理了技术与媒介的关系,并提出了元素型媒介哲学,将海洋、火、天空等都纳入媒介研究范畴。在他看来,媒介不仅仅是“关于”这个世界的,而且“就是”这个世界本身;媒介是人的“存有方式”和“社会秩序的提供者”;媒介是容器,可以用之储存、传送和加工信息,更被用来组织时间、空间和权力。“媒介传送的讯息既体现人类的各种行为,也体现人类与生态体系及经济体系之间的关系。而且,在更大范围的媒介概念上,媒介就是生态体系和经济体系的构成部分。”

媒介概念的扩展促成了“海洋-科技”在本地特定情境之下相互关照的对子关系,这也是关于“人类境况”的递归循环:只有通过人造物(artifact)人类才能知晓和操纵自然。反之,源于人性和身体的人造物,又将进入和影响自然(约翰·杜海姆·彼得斯)。人类的行动改变了这些行动所存在于期间的条件,这些条件反过来又改变了人类。“从其所具有的极端可能性和极端局限性中为我们的存有描绘出一个诗意的轮廓”(海德格尔),也就是我们所存有的浪漫星球。

夏洛特·弗谢·石井,拥有超过二十年艺术和文化领域的经验,夏洛特·弗谢·石井于 2023 年 6 月担任巴黎-赛尔奇国立高等艺术学院 (ENSAPC) 的校长。她以透明性和跨学科为要求,致力于构建一个面向学校各个社区的集体的,兼具开放与包容性的项目。


她毕业于巴黎第九大学,获得文化组织管理学位。她曾在凯布朗利博物馆-雅克·希拉克博物馆担任文化协调专员,之后在布拉格法国学院担任副院长和文化专员。从2017 年到 2022 年,她领导了位于日本京都的九条山别墅的艺术研究驻留项目。无论是在驻留项目还是国际活动中,她都对艺术家的工作有着深入的了解,支持其研究与创作工作,同时也巩固艺术家的职业发展道路。


处于传承与发扬的考量,她致力于在艺术教育项目中加强职业导向。她的国际经验和外交专长使她能够发展 ENSAPC 的关系网络,并重新确立该校在法国及国际舞台中的艺术院校、当代艺术和学术研究网络中的独特地位。


Charlotte Fouchet Ishii,With over twenty years of experience in the arts and culture sector, Charlotte Fouchet Ishii took the helm of ENSAPC (École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy) in June 2023, with a focus on transparency and interdisciplinarity, aiming to structure a collective and inclusive project open to all the school’s communities.


A graduate of Paris Dauphine University in cultural organization management, she previously worked in mediation at the Musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac before serving as Deputy Director and Cultural Attaché at the French Institute in Prague. Between 2017 and 2022, she directed the Villa Kujoyama, an artistic research residency program in Kyoto. Whether in the context of residencies or international events, she developed an in-depth knowledge of artists, supporting their research and creative work to help strengthen their professional paths.


Reaffirming her commitment to mentorship and guidance, she aims to enhance the educational offering and promote the professional integration of graduates. Her international background and diplomatic expertise also enable her to expand ENSAPC's network and reaffirm its unique position in the network of art schools, contemporary art, and academic research both in France and internationally.


刘德建博士是企业家、教育家。他是网龙网络公司创始人兼董事长,是网龙发展战略和业务规划的总设计师。他多年来成功引领公司成为中国领先的网络游戏与移动互联网应用发展公司之一。当前,刘先生致力于引领公司向国际化的设计型企业转型,推动集团成为全球在线教育行业的领先力量。


刘先生于一九九五年毕业于美国堪萨斯大学,取得化学理学士学位。此后于二零二一年于北京师范大学取得教育学博士学位。刘先生于二零一五年一月被评定为“国务院特殊津贴专家”,于二零一七年五月进一步获评“享受教授、研究员待遇高级工程师”称号。


刘先生受聘服务于多个国际学术机构,职务包括:北京师范大学智慧学习研究院联席院长,中国教育大数据应用研究院联席院长,国际智慧学习环境协会主席,中芬联合学习创新研究院理事,联合国教科文组织教育信息技术研究所理事等。他的主要研究领域包括设计与学习、虚拟现实/增强现实、人工智能与大数据教育应用、数字教育与智慧教育等。他曾先后在北京师范大学开设了“设计与学习”课程;在哈佛大学开设了研究生课程Next Generation Design: Methods and Heuristics;在中央美术学院开设了“设计方法论”课程。


Dr. Liu Dejian is a recognized entrepreneur and educator. He is the founder and chairman of NetDragon Websoft Inc., as well as the chief designer of the company's development strategies and business planning. Over the years, he has successfully led the company to become one of the Chinese leading companies in the industry of online gaming and mobile internet application development. Currently, Dr. Liu is committed to leading the Company’s transformation to an international design-oriented enterprise, while actively promoting Internet education to establish our Group as a leading force in the online education industry globally.


Dr. Liu received his bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree from University of Kansas in the USA in 1995, and a doctorate degree in education from Beijing Normal University in 2021.He was awarded the Special Allowance Expert in State Council in January 2015. In May 2017, Mr. Liu was recognized as a Senior Engineer Enjoying Professor and Researcher Status with his exceptional technical accomplishments.


Dr. Liu has been employed to serve multiple international academic institutions. He served as Co-Dean of the Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University, Co-Dean of China Academy of Education Big Data, President of International Association of Smart Learning Environments, Board Member of Sino-Finnish Joint Learning Innovation Institute, and Advisory Committee of UNESCO International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology, etc. His primary research areas encompass Design and Learning, VR/AR, AI and Big Data Applications in Education, Digital Education, and Smart Education. He has taught courses at academic institutes throughout the years, such as "Design and Learning" at Beijing Normal University, "Next Generation Design: Methods and Heuristics" as a graduate course at Harvard University, and "Design Methodology" at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.




林通先生于二零一四年加入网龙网络公司,现任网龙网络公司副总裁、网龙数字教育小镇总经理。他负责集团投建数字教育小镇项目,并牵头集团与中央美术学院、福建省广播影视集团、澳门科技大学等多个机构达成战略合作。


二零一七年起,林先生开始全面负责数字教育小镇项目的规划和发展,带领团队开拓数字艺术、研学培训、电竞战队等新业务,打造福建省级特色小镇、研学旅游示范基地等一系列品牌,推动创建集团子公司福建省天睿教育科技有限公司。在他的引领下,数字教育小镇在科技孵化、文化旅游、教育培训等多个领域实现全面发展。


在艺术文化领域,林先生作为顾问,带领技术团队为中央美术学院设计学“我们¹人类²在³火星⁴”线上策展项目、“古意的生成——明清书画研究展”等多个项目提供技术支持,其中“我们¹人类²在³火星⁴”项目获邀参与“第一届元宇宙艺术年度展@威尼斯”(The 1st Annual METAVERSE Art @VENICE)的“共生未来”单元项目。林先生带领团队,在数字教育小镇策划落地一系列大型文化活动,包含“数实衍生 共筑福州”元创周、潮玩嘉年华、数字星球音乐节等,通过共建数字与教育中心、举办艺术系列讲座、共创设计大赛等方式,积极推动小镇艺术文化领域的发展,打造数字教育小镇成为福州滨海新城的创意和艺术的发声地。


Mr. Lin Tong joined NetDragon Websoft in 2014 and currently serves as the Vice President of NetDragon Websoft and the General Manager of NetDragon Digital Education Town. He is responsible for the group's investment in the Digital Education Town project and has led strategic partnerships with institutions such as the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Fujian Radio and Television Group, and Macau University of Science and Technology.


Since 2017, Mr. Lin has been fully in charge of the planning and development of the Digital Education Town project. He has led his team to explore new businesses such as digital art, research and study training, and e-sports teams, and create a series of brands including Fujian Provincial Featured Towns and Research and Study Tourism Demonstration Bases. Additionally, he spearheaded the establishment of Fujian Tianrui Education Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the group. Under his leadership, the Digital Education Town has achieved comprehensive development in various fields such as technology incubation, cultural tourism, and education training.


In the field of art and culture, Mr. Lin, serving as a consultant, has led the team to provide technical support for several projects at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, including the online exhibition project "We¹ Human² on³ Mars⁴" and the "Generation of Ancient Meaning—Ming and Qing Calligraphy and Painting Research Exhibition", within which the "We¹ Humans² on³ Mars⁴" project was invited to exhibit in the "Symbiosis Future" section of "The 1st Annual METAVERSE Art @VENICE." Under Mr. Lin's leadership, the team planned and executed a series of large-scale cultural events in the Digital Education Town, including the 2023 META Creative Week, Ape-Verse Creative Carnival, Digital Planet Music Festival, and etc. By jointly establishing digital and education center, hosting art lectures, and organizing design competitions, to actively promoted the development of arts and culture, establishing the Digital Education Town as a hub for creativity and arts in Fuzhou.


杨少梦于二零一六年加入网龙网络公司,现任数字教育小镇项目部项目总监,具备丰富的项目孵化及管理经验,聚焦“数字+文化”方向,她先后负责多个集团战略发展级项目。


她推动公司与美国斯坦福大学、美国北德克萨斯州大学、澳门科技大学等多所高校达成产学研合作,推动集团先后在美国德州、中国澳门设立数字研究中心,并获聘为“澳门科技大学数字创新与人文教育研究中心”联席副主任。


二零二壹年起,杨女士开始投身参与数字教育小镇项目的规划及发展,负责小镇文旅项目的孵化及品牌打造,牵头推动了数字教育小镇重点项目101艺术潮玩中心对外正式开放运营,打造落地了福建省首个360度沉浸光影艺术空间,举办“I CUBE影魔方”国际沉浸光影大赛及获奖作品成果展,推出青年艺术家扶持计划,推动101艺术潮玩中心成功举办9场艺术展览、20多场美育公教活动和多场专业研讨会。通过与教育机构、艺术家、专家学者跨项目的协作,她致力于推动新世代的多元艺术语言与技术的融合和发展。


Yang Shaomeng joined NetDragon Websoft in 2016 and currently serves as the Project Director in the Digital Education Town Department. She has extensive experience in project incubation and management. Focusing on the "Digital + Culture" direction, she has been responsible for multiple strategic development projects for the company.


Ms. Yang has facilitated collaborations between the company and prestigious universities such as Stanford University, University of North Texas, and Macau University of Science and Technology in the areas of Industry-University-Research cooperation. Her efforts have contributed to the establishment of digital research centers in Texas, USA, and Macau, China, and she has been appointed as the Co-Deputy Director of the "Digital Innovation and Humanities Education Research Center" at Macau University of Science and Technology.


Since 2021, Ms. Yang has dedicated to the planning and development of the Digital Education Town project, responsible for the incubation and branding of cultural and tourism initiatives. She led the official opening of 101 Art & Design Center, launched the first 360° Immersive Art space in Fujian Province. She organized the "2021 I CUBE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE "  Competition and its award-winning artworks exhibition, launched a support program for young artists. With her efforts, 101 A&DC has successful hosted 9 art exhibitions, over 20 Public Art Education Activities, and numerous professional seminars. Through cross-project collaboration with educational institutions, artists and professionals, she is dedicated to promoting the integration and development of diverse artistic languages and technologies for the next generation.





尼古拉·夏尔博尼耶 (Nicolas Charbonnier) 是一位一位音乐人和声音艺术家,现居住并工作于法国巴黎。他是 ENSAPC 的声音工作室的导师,他的参与是跨学科的艺术实验不可或缺的一部分。


同时,尼古拉·夏尔博尼耶 (Nicolas Charbonnier) 也在个人和集体项目里探索多种形式的创作,如装置艺术、氛围音乐和田野录音等;也从生态学、植物学、技术史和自然声音学(audionaturalisme)等学科里获得滋养。另外,他还特别关注“寂静”在信息技术、自然环境甚至音乐里的结构性作用。


Nicolas Charbonnier is a recognized artist and educator in the field of contemporary art, who  lives and works in Paris, France. He is known for his role as a workshop leader at ENSAPC, where he contributes to the education and development of students in the field of art. His involvement in ENSAPC is part of the school's broader mission to provide a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment for artistic experimentation and learning and he plays a significant role in fostering creativity and innovation among the students.




纪尧姆·布列东 (Guillaume Breton) 自 2018 年以来担任 Ygrec-ENSAPC 艺术中心的艺术总监。他于 2011 年至 2017 年在伦敦共同创立并主导 Rowing Projects,在此期间与 Tate Britain、Gasworks、ICA、Freud Museum 和 Whitechapel Gallery 等机构建立了合作关系,并参与了 Art Brussels、Artissima 和 Loop Barcelona 等国际艺术博览会。


除了作为独立策展人的工作外,他还与 Frac P.A.C.A(马赛)、Bonnat 博物馆(巴约讷)、Auto Italia South East(伦敦)、Louise Blouin 基金会(伦敦)、Zabludowicz 收藏(伦敦)和 Édouard Malingue 画廊(香港)等机构开展项目。他曾在南伦敦画廊、美国惠特尼艺术博物馆(纽约)和 Neue Alte Brücke(法兰克福)工作,并在 2011 年至 2013 年期间担任伦敦皇家艺术学院的策展培训项目讲师。此外,他还担任斯莱德艺术学院、苏富比学院和 De Appel Gallerist Programme 的访问讲师。

Guillaume Breton has been the Artistic Director of the Ygrec-ENSAPC Art Center since 2018. He co-founded and directed Rowing Projects (London) from 2011 to 2017, where he developed collaborations with institutions such as Tate Britain, Gasworks, ICA, Freud Museum, and Whitechapel Gallery, while also participating in several international art fairs, including Art Brussels, Artissima, and Loop Barcelona.

In addition to his work as an independent curator, developing projects with institutions like Frac P.A.C.A (Marseille), the Bonnat Museum (Bayonne), Auto Italia South East (London), the Louise Blouin Foundation (London), Zabludowicz Collection (London), and the Édouard Malingue Gallery (Hong Kong), Guillaume Breton has worked for the South London Gallery (London), the Whitney Museum of American Art (New York), and Neue Alte Brücke (Frankfurt). He also taught in the curatorial studies program at the Royal College of Art (London) from 2011 to 2013 and has delivered several lectures at the Slade School of Art, Sotheby’s Institute, and De Appel Gallerist Programme.

He studied cultural mediation at Paris 8 University, earned a DEA (Diplôme d'Études Approfondies) in Arts and Letters at Aix-Marseille University, and completed a Master’s in Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art.


张芳,1989年出生于中国福建省福州市。2012年获复旦大学法学学士。作为策展人,她以跨学科的开放思维感知本土情境,在艺术现场与社会现实间编织串联,现担任桂湖美术馆艺术总监;作为写作者,其展览评论等文章发表于凤凰艺术、艺术当代等平台。

 

Elsa ZHANG Fang was born in 1989 in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China. She received her Bachelor of Laws from Fudan University in 2012. As a curator, she approaches local contexts with an interdisciplinary and open mindset, weaving connections between art spaces and social realities. She is currently the head of the exhibition department of G Art Museum. As a writer, her exhibition reviews and other articles have been published on Phoenix Art, Art Contemporary, etc.


李舒萌(LI Shumeng),1998年出生于中国福建省泉州市,现居法国巴黎,是一位从事混合媒体的声音艺术家。她本科和硕士毕业于ENSAPC,并在中央圣马丁学院(Central Saint Martins)进行了交换学习。在学习当代艺术之前,她还在新索邦大学(La Sorbonne Nouvelle)完成了文化传播与音乐的本科课程。她的项目曾在伦敦金史密斯大学(Goldsmiths University of London)、中央圣马丁学院的利瑟比画廊(Lethaby Gallery)、巴黎-萨克雷高等师范学院(ENS Paris-Saclay)的研究场景(la Scène de Recherche)和里尔科学政治学院(SciencesPo Lille)等地展出。

Louis Vabres, 19 July 1996, multi-disciplinary artist, author-composer-performer

After a career in the French alternative music scene, in which his musical research focused on overcoming and destructuring the codes of the pop form, Louis Vabres explored filmic forms, and more generally forms that seek to construct and sculpt duration. He will be entering the master's programme at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy in 2023. His work is influenced by a series of questions about reality, the porosity between the worlds of waking, dreams and non-existence, with a constant preoccupation with the ambiguous boundaries between inside and outside, but also by the exploration of the imaginary, of various subjectivities, their interaction and what follows from them.

Gaëtane Martinot is a filmmaker/artist/archivist. After two years of study at the European School of Fine Arts of Brittany (Quimper campus), they joined the National School of Arts of Paris-Cergy in 2021, from which they graduated. Most often through films, sound pieces, photographs, or publications, they explore unique or everyday stories of places and people.

Alexandre Parizet, a student at the Paris Cergy Graduate School of Arts (ENSAPC),is a young filmmaker whose work focuses on the Basque Country, in particular its relationship with storytelling, fishing, dance and ocean.

Studying at ENSAPC and the Conservatoire in an electroacoustic class, Kenza BELGHITI ALAOUI combines sound and spatial composition with screen printing, publishing and metal.

She is interested in the processes of transformation, in particular the “ blue hour ” a moment of transition between day and night, and night and day, which alters our sensory perceptions.

Using sound, video and photographic recordings of these suspended, cyclical moments, she seeks to suggest a moment of imagination.

Born in Hubei in 1994, I currently lives and works in Fuzhou. Since laying down my oil brush in 2020, I has gradually explored and integrated diversifified new media forms, using art as a medium to reveal the practical problems faced in current social production activities. It is hoped that through each work, the public will be inspired to ruminate severely about these questions. With this connection as a starting point,I contribute to fifind answers with the public and reflflect on the current state of society.

born in 1989 in the coastal town of Xiapu, Fujian, China, graduated from Xiamen University's School of Fine Arts in 2011 with a bachelor's degree. In 2015, she obtained a Diploma in Fine Arts (DNAP) from the National Higher School of Fine Arts in Lyon, France. She furthered her education by earning a Master's degree in Fine Arts and a Doctorate from the Sorbonne Art School at Paris 1 University in 2017 and 2023, respectively.Her works typically take the form of spatial installations, incorporating various media such as painting, sculpture, and photography. These assemblages are closely connected to the places where she works and lives. She begins with the invisible or mundane, seeking to experience her surroundings in different ways. She questions conventional postures, the positioning of objects in space, and the placement of her own body, aiming to create a visual haiku, an unstable visual landscape.

A public higher school of art falling under the oversight of the French Ministry of Culture, the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy (ENSAPC) trains artists and creatives on the international level. ENSAPC’s resolutely cross-disciplinary offerings span a wide range of disciplines, linking the visual arts, writing, live performance, sound, film, and theory. In cooperation with partners in France and abroad, the school invites artistic experimentation, invention, and study, encouraging students to play a major role in shaping their own course of study. It is a locus of lively contention and fruitful exchange, a space in which ideas, knowledge, and experience collide and coalesce in complementary ways.


Openness to the world, intercultural dialogue, and international cooperation are integral parts of ENSAPC’s institutional policy. Each year the school welcomes students, instructors, practicing artists, and art scholars from all over the world. It also organizes numerous joint projects and cooperative ventures in France and abroad.


ENSAPC offers a three-year undergraduate program leading to the Diplôme National d’Arts (DNA), equivalent to the bachelor, and a two-year master’s-level program culminating in the Diplôme National Supérieur d’Expression Plastique (DNSEP). Teaching activities—courses, workshops, research plans, studios, workshops, seminars, and travel—are enriched by the hard work of research and by modes of thinking and acting that stem from students’ individual artistic practice. Through CY Cergy Paris University Graduate School of Humanities, Creation, and Heritage, the school also offers a practice-led doctorate delivered in partnership with the following institutions: CY Cergy Paris University (humanities and social sciences), the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Paysage de Versailles, and the Institut National du Patrimoine.


YGREC is ENSAPC’s exhibition space. Located in Aubervilliers, YGREC is a forum for encounters and experimentation, an interactive space in which exhibitions, teaching, research, professional development, and criticism cross-fertilize.


Visits to the campus by prominent personalities in art and academia invite a sharing of minds and practices. By embracing the distinguished visitors program, the faculty, workshop heads, students, researchers and administrators at ENSAPC and YGREC are betting on the collective capacity of hosts and visitors to chart paths of fruitful experimentation with modes of transmission, production, research, presentation, and reception—consistent with the dynamics of pedagogical, artistic, and community collaboration.

The Digital Education Town is nestled amidst a picturesque coastal ecological landscape of approximately 330 acres while sharing a border with the expansive 82.5-acre Dahe National Forest Reserve.


When night falls, our town is embraced by a soothing touch of ocean breezes, immersing itself in the serene radiance of moonlight. In the daytime, it reveals a picturesque view of the sapphire ocean and the vast sky. Our town, neighboring a pristine fishing port, is blessed with stunning landscapes, including a sweeping bay that stretches as far as the eye can see and a velvety golden beach.


In 2022, the Tourism Plan for the Coastal Zone North of the Airport in the Binhai New City, designed under the leadership of the Digital Education Town, was incorporated into the overall beautiful bay plan for Binhai New City in the Fuzhou New Area.


In our town's coastal zone, visitors can revel in the beauty of nature while appreciating the beautiful works of art, amazing technology, and interesting culture. In the future, visitors will also have the chance to delve into the historical tales of Gantang Port, the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road in Fujian.

Ygrec is the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy’s art centre. After existing for about 20 years in Paris, Ygrec ENSAPC reopens with a new venue in Aubervilliers.


In 2000, the École nationale supérieure d’arts de Paris-Cergy opened an exhibition space entitled “La Vitrine” in Paris, in the 11th arrondissement, rue Moret. The project then moved to rue Louise Weiss in the 13th arrondissement where it took the name of Ygrec (or “Cergy” in reverse). In the summer of 2016, Ygrec relocated into the heart of the urban and social laboratory of the Grands Voisins, a temporary occupation project on the site of the former Saint-Vincent-de-Paul hospital, before inaugurating a new exhibition space in Aubervilliers in early 2020. The art centre’s activities also extend to off-wall projects, in partnership with numerous structures and events.


With a focus on contemporary art emerging practices, Ygrec’s artistic programme is structured around artistic proposals developed collaboratively with professors, students and graduates from l’École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Paris Cergy and exhibitions or events resulting from invites by international artists and curators.
