Event Details 

This event will be conducted in English. 

This session is designed to guide prospective Master’s and PhD students through the application process for STEM programs at U.S. universities.  We will cover the key components of a successful application, including GPA, standardized test scores, recommendation letters, and research experience.  Participants will gain valuable insights on how to present their academic and research potential effectively, as well as tips for securing scholarships and funding, particularly for PhD candidates.

Presenter Bio 

Carrie Bowling is the Senior Assistant Director of Graduate Marketing and Recruitment at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering.  With nearly a decade of experience, Carrie specializes in guiding international students through the U.S. admissions process.

All participants, including children, must bring a valid photo ID and your registration confirmation email in order to get into the Beijing American Center (BAC).  Large bags will not be allowed into the program area of BAC. 

请务必准时到达北京美国中心,在活动开始30分钟后将不允许入场参加活动。 
You must arrive at the Embassy BAC entrance no later than half an hour before the program start time for check in. You will NOT be admitted if you arrive half an hour after the program has started.

    You must bring a valid physical photo ID in order to enter the Beijing American Center (BAC), copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted.

  • 请勿携带笔记本电脑。便携式电子设备如手机,iPads和其他平板电脑,智能手表可以带入。请勿携带大包。

    While portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are permitted, guests may not bring laptop computers to Beijing American Center programs. No large bags will be allowed for this event.
