傅丹(Danh Vo)是一名越南裔丹麦当代艺术家,以其概念艺术而闻名。他的作品探索了移民和身份认同有关的历史、社会和政治问题。与传统艺术家不同的是,他的大部分作品并非创作新的事物,而是收集和展示现有的物品。《纽约时报》艺术评论家Roberta Smith称他为“狩猎采集者”和“考古学家”,在时间的废墟中寻找被埋葬的历史。他的艺术力量往往源自这些物品背后所代表的故事。
傅丹于1975年出生于越南西贡郊外的巴里亚村。也就是在美越战争结束的那一年,他的家庭成为了紧接着爆发的柬越战争的受害者。在傅丹四岁时,他们乘船逃离了越南,他对自己在越南的童年没有任何记忆。他们在海上被一艘丹麦货船救起,之后定居丹麦。这段经历奠定了他之后的创作基础。艺术家 傅丹
