The Taosi Site Museum in Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province, officially opened on the 12th. This is the first time that the Taosi civilization, dating back about 4,300 to 3,900 years ago, is presented to the public in the formal way .
The exhibition hall covers an area of about 5,000 square meters and exhibits 230 pieces (sets) of cultural relics such as pottery, jade, bone, bronze, and lacquer wood.
In addition, a special "Taosi Archaeology" exhibition has been set up to reproduce the archaeological process since the official excavation of the site and the unremitting efforts made by generations of archaeologists.
