Driller: It is a cone bit.

2、Supervisor: Why did you pull out of the hole so slowly?
Driller: Because we had bit balling.
监督：为什么此次起钻这么慢?
司钻：因为钻头泥包。
3、Supervisor: Why do you require us to pull out of hole so frequently?
Driller: I want to check the bit and change the nozzles. The pump pressure is too low, you know.
监督：为什么这么短的时间就让我们起钻？

4、Supervisor: Where is the cross over for connecting the 8” drill collar and the 7” drill collar?
Driller: In the doghouse. The floor man has cleaned it.

Driller: We have had 2 machined. They will be available tomorrow.

Driller: Yes, we do. They are on the rig floor.

7、Supervisor: How many types of drill collar do you have on the rig site? And how many spiral drill collars?
Driller: There are four types of drill collars: 9”,8”,7”,6 1/2”. They are all spiral drill collars.

8、Supervisor: When are you going to make up the 8”DC?
Driller: After the BOP is tested.

Driller: We may lay down the drilling strings at 5p.m. after pulling out of the hole.

Driller: B type tong. The hydraulic tongs are broken.

Driller: Yes.

Driller: It is made of steel sheets. It is easily broken.

Driller: Yes, it is. It needs to be changed if the size is worn smaller.

28、Supervisor: How many stabilizers are needed for this kind of bottom hole assembly?
Driller: Three are needed as this is a directional well.

Driller: No, it isn’t. It is in the tool house.

34、Supervisor: Where are the screw driver and hand vice that I put in the tool box yesterday?
Driller: The assistant driller just took it away.
