中秋节，又称拜月节。中秋节自古便有祭月、赏月、吃月饼、玩花灯、赏桂花、饮桂花酒等民俗，流传至今，经久不息。中秋节以月之圆兆人之团圆，为寄托思念故乡，思念亲人之情，祈盼丰收、幸福，成为丰富多彩、弥足珍贵的文化遗产。
Mid-Autumn Festival, is celebrated on the 15th day of the8th month of the lunar calendar.It is probably began as a harvest festival. And It is also a time for family members and loved ones to congregate and enjoy the full moon - an auspicious symbol of abundance,harmony and luck. Adults will usually indulge in fragrant mooncakes of manyvarieties with a good cup of piping hot Chinese tea, while the little ones run around with their brightly-lit lanterns.
相传很多年以前，天上出现了十个太阳，人间百姓极为疾苦，地上不到三天便干焊，后来有一个叫后羿的人，力大无穷，于是他决定爬上昆仑山，运足了神力，一口气射下了九个太阳，解民众于水深火热之中。王母娘娘听后，为了奖励他，赐他一枚仙丹，吃了便可以乘仙气升天成仙。后羿不舍得吃，他拿回家给他爱人嫦娥保管，这件事情被邻居一个小人知道了，于是她等后羿出去后，来到后羿家里，强抢仙丹，嫦娥抵挡不住，决定把仙丹吞下去，吃下仙丹后，嫦娥就乘仙气向月球奔去了。后羿回家看不到嫦娥，日益思念，很是痛苦，于是他经常想起嫦娥，想起他们在一起时快乐时光，想起她经常爱吃月饼，由于嫦娥奔月那天，恰好是农历八月十五，于是中国民间把这天叫成中秋节，用赏月纪念嫦娥，吃月饼表达对亲人的思念。
Legend says that there were once ten suns in the sky, which made plants wither, water in rivers and lakes run dry. It’s too hot to live on the sun.Houyi, a young man who was good at archery was sympathetic with people’s torture so he decided to save them. He took out his bow, ascended up to the peak of the Kunlun Mountain and shot down nine of the ten suns one by one, and he might have shot the last one if it was not called off by others. Thus the severe drought was gone. As his reward, the Heavenly Queen Mother gave Hou Yi the Elixir of Immortality, anyone eats it could change into an immortal. Houyi let his wife Chang'e keep the Elixir. No sooner as Houyi left his house, a bad guy knocked into the courtyard where Chang’e was working. He wielded his glitter sword and threatened Chang’er to give him the elixir.Chang’e had no better idea than swallowed the elixir herself.As soon as she took it, chang’er flew from her house toward the heave and finally landed on the moon.Houyi came back and found Chang'e was gone,he was so upset. He decided to make mooncakes because Chang'e likes to eat.And because that day Chang'e flied to the moon is August 15th in lunar calender, so he makes mooncakes at that day every year to memorize Chang'e.

花间一壶酒，独酌无相亲。
From a pot of wine among the flowers I drank alone. There was no one with me.
举杯邀明月，对影成三人。
Till, raising my cup , I asked the bright moon to bring me my shadow and make us three.
月既不解饮，影徒随我身。
Alas, the moon was unable to drink and my shadow tagged me vacantly;
暂伴月将影，行乐须及春。
But still for a while I had these friends to cheer me through the end of spring.
我歌月徘徊，我舞影零乱。
I sang. The moon encouraged me. I danced. My shadow tumbled after.
醒时同交欢，醉后各分散。
As long as I knew , we were boon companions. And then I was drunk, and we lost one another.
Like the moon, you my possession; into the sweet cakes, blessed with a heart, we hope everyone live every day like the moon 15 as a success.
一样的月光， 在你我的身上；送上香甜的月饼，连同一颗祝福的心，希望大家过得每一天都像十五的月亮一样圆满成功。
