China is the hometown of tea and the birthplace of tea culture. Tea drinking has a history of thousands of years in China. The legend says tea was discovered by Shennong. One day, Shengnong was poisoned when he was in search of the edible grains. Suddenly, a leaf drifted into his mouth, he chewed on it and it revived him. That is how we discovered tea.
中国是茶的故乡，也是茶文化的发源地。在中国，饮茶已有数千年的历史。传说茶是由神农发现的。有一天，神农在寻找可食用谷物时中毒了。突然，一片叶子飘进他的嘴里，他咀嚼了一下，就恢复了精神。茶就是这样被发现的。
The tea drinking in China generally starts from the Han Dynasty and comes popular during the Tang Dynasty. Since then, Chinese tea has made its way in the world through the Ancient Tea Horse Road, the Ancient Silk Road, the Road of Tea on Grassland, and the Maritime Silk Road, shaping different tea drinking customs and tea culture along the way.
中国饮茶之风大致始于汉代，在唐代开始盛行。从那时起，中国茶叶通过茶马古道、古丝绸之路、草原茶路以及海上丝绸之路走向世界，沿途形成了各式各样的饮茶习俗与茶文化。
Tea culture has left a significant mark on Chinese history. From the fresh green tea to the mellow black tea, from the fragrant oolong tea to the delicate white tea, each type of tea has its unique flavor and charm. They are either refreshing, sweet, or bitter, and each taste is a gift from nature.
茶文化在中国历史上留下了浓墨重彩的一笔。从清新的绿茶到醇厚的红茶，从香气四溢的乌龙茶到淡雅的白茶，每一种茶都有其独特的风味与魅力。它们或清爽，或甘甜，或苦涩，每一种味道都是大自然的馈赠。
In China, tea is also an important social medium. The steps on making tea, offering tea and tasting tea all embody deep etiquette culture. The process of drinking tea is about creating balance and finding peace. Tea is more than a beverage in China. It’s how we welcome guests, celebrate milestones and express gratitude. It’s a connection to nature, a reflection of culture and celebration of simplicity.
在中国，茶还是一种重要的社交媒介。泡茶、敬茶、品茶的步骤都蕴含着深厚的礼仪文化。饮茶的过程就是寻求平衡、找寻内心宁静的过程。在中国，茶不仅仅是一种饮品，它还是我们迎宾、庆祝重要时刻以及表达感激之情的方式，是与自然的联结，是文化的映照，也是对质朴生活的礼赞。
So the next time you sip a cup of tea, think about this: you’re not just tasting a drink. You are tasting a tradition, a story and a piece of Chinese soul.
