Today is World Animal Day. At Tsinghua, you can encounter a variety of these wonderful creatures.
In the quiet corners of Tsinghua, nature’s smallest inhabitants thrive, creating a beautiful display of ecological harmony. Songbirds fill the air with their cheerful tunes, while squirrels scamper playfully between the trees. Butterflies flutter gracefully in the breeze, and hedgehogs quietly forage in the underbrush.
Tsinghua’s campus is also home to a community of stray cats, who have become familiar faces. Students and staff alike show their compassion by providing food and shelter to ensure these feline friends are well looked after. This act of kindness reflects the deep respect TsinghuaRen have for all forms of life.
The waters of Shui Mu Qing Hua are home to elegant mandarin ducks and black swans. Recently, the birth of baby swans has added to the charm of this scenic pond. Watching the little cygnets follow their parents brings a sense of life and hope to the heart of the university.
