Intern Experiences:

Working with GCO

Sherese Khoo (Malaysia)

School of Life Sciences

Joining the Global Communication Office two years ago was one of the most exhilarating decisions I've made at Tsinghua. What began as a student role quickly evolved into a transformative journey where I embrace multiple hats: a (1) writer, crafting stories that amplify Tsinghua's voice on the global stage; (2) a video and podcast producer, capturing the vibrant essence of campus life; and (3) a team leader, channeling the creativity of our diverse members into impactful projects. Alongside igniting my passion for content creation, it also opened doors to a potential career in journalism. If you have Tsinghua stories to tell, join our team - let's leave our marks on Tsinghua's global communications' landscape together!

Fenyi Xu (China)

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Being part of the Global Communication Office (GCO) is an incredible experience for me. I work on the WeChat official account TSINGHUA, where my awesome teammates and I explore the latest campus news and share it with the world. Also, here I've made tons of friends from all over, and it's so much fun to brainstorm together, discovering different cultures and coming up with innovative ideas. So, if you're fascinated by such joy and connection we have, JUST COME! You won't regret it.

Cheong Chee Wah (Malaysia)

School of Life Sciences

For me, GCO is more than a platform—it's a creaitve hub where ideas were nurtured, stories are shared, and the essence of Tsinghua is communicated to a global audience. Joining the video team is about immersing myself in the dynamic stories of Tsinghua's students, faculty, and community, and finding creative ways to bring these stories to life. As part of the GCO Family, we have the privilege of capturing the spirit of Tsinghua through our lenses, whether it's the excitement of a major campus event or heartfelt moments that define Tsinghua experience. I encourage anyone with a passion for storytelling and a desire to make an impact to join the big GCO Family in making Tsinghua's stories known to the world.
