The campus of Tsinghua University
is connected by 25 bridges of
different sizes and shapes.
They have long stood to witness
the multitude of events
that have taken place at Tsinghua.
Now let us see what
they have to offer!
Around the School River
14 bridges stand proudly over the school river
As the flowers bloom and the sun sets in spring and summer
These bridges are truly a sight to behold
When fall arrives
The autumn colors of red and yellow take over the river
Even conquering one of the bridges for their own
As snowflakes trickle in with winter
The bridges serve as a blank canvas
With the brightest stroke being the sunlight
To complete this painting of frozen time
At the end of the stream lies a bridge shaped like a rainbow
They say
"At the end of the rainbow lies a pot of gold"
But no
At Tsinghua, there's so much more
Jinchun Yuan
At the center of Jinchun Yuan is an island
Connected to the larger land by three bridges
With an impressive lotus bed
A fine subject for poetry indeed
First we have an arched bridge
With a simple structure but deep carvings
The changing seasons make it shine even more
Next, we have a bridge designed by a Tsinghua student
Which inspired Tsinghua's first structural design competition
Where the first ten all had themes related to "bridges"
Last but not least
A bridge with its name carved into a nearby stone
And almost one with the water surface
Shui Mu Qing Hua & Gong Zi Ting
Passing the Auditorium
We have a bridge that connects to Shui Mu Qing Hua
A place of peace and quietness
Perfect for studying
But if you decide to follow the stream
Gong Zi Ting is a great place to rest your foot.
The once royal garden
Is now a place for important meetings
But is still full of life
