In the world of contemporary sculpture, the name Zheng Lu resonates as a true visionary. He seamlessly blends exquisite craftsman-ship, technical fnesse, and conceptual depth in his creations. 

郑路出生于书香世家，承载着历史厚重和文化传统的文字和书法开启了他的艺术之路。在他的许多作品中都流淌着一个重要的主题⸺水的神秘与魅力。他以精湛的技巧将固体材料转化为流动的形状，仿佛捕捉到了水优雅却又桀骜的精神本质。

Being born into a literary family, his journey began with words andcalligraphic strokes that carry the weight of history and culture. The signifcant subject that flows through many of his oeuvres: the enigmatic allure of water. With masterful skill, he transforms solid materials into fluid shapes, as if capturing the very essence of water's untamed elegance.

郑路的作品被世界各地著名的私人和博物馆广泛收藏，并用于公共空间展示。2021年，他为摩纳哥阿尔贝二世亲王殿下设计了简·亚历山大全球野生动物大使奖。

Zheng Lu's works can be found in prestigious private and museum collections and adorning public spaces around the world. In 2021, he designed the Jane Alexander Global Wildlife Ambassador Award presented to His Serene Highness Prince Albert I of Monaco.

In 1830, Charles Christofle, the House's founder, created a jewelry workshop under his own name. Within a decade, by relying on its high standards and the search for ever higher quality, it became one of the capital's most important jewelers. A visionary with a passion for technical innovation, he revolutionized the world of silverware by having the audacity to offer, starting in 1842, a new kind of silver-plated flatware that sealed his reputation.

Today, Christofle upholds these traditional types of expertise in its Haute Orfèvrerie workshop in Normandy, where it counts among its artisans two Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (Best Craftsmen in France). Christofle, a renowned Parisian silversmith established in 1830, and Zheng Lu, the celebrated Chinese sculptor, join forces to present an exceptional masterpiece of artisanal craftsmanship and cultural exchange. Emerging in an elegantly intricate silhouette of a flowing dragon, the artwork is a testament to the pursuit of perfection. 

This collaboration manifests the shared values of both the brand and the artist: a harmonious blend of reverence to tradition and visionary innovation.

The Flowing Dragon continues the tradition of the Christofle Haute Orfèvrerie collection in presenting an elegant and exceptional aesthetic with exceptional craftsmanship. Offering a truly one-of-a-kind interpretation of an ancient symbol, this collaboration harmonizes the artist's visual language and the brand’s expertise in high-end traditional silversmith technique.

特展策展人朱小敏与阿联酋大使H.E. Mr. Hussain bin lbrahim Al Hammadi Ambassador

1983年出生于中国安徽，当代青年雕塑家，被美国Complex杂志选为“二十五位一定要认识的中国当代艺术家之一”。作品以街头文化为背景，致力于打通以Hip-hop为代表的当代青年文化与中国传统美学的任督二脉。他的作品大多以第一人称的视角与世界对话，充斥着不羁、叛逆的个性张力，作品形式不同于主流审美，饱含民族文化自信，遵从内心，自成一派！ 

Huang Yulong, born in Anhui province of China in 1983, is a contemporary young sculptor, acclaimed by American magazine of Complex as "one of the twenty-five contemporary Chinese artists whom we have to know". His works, full of the tension of individuality and enlightenment, can always directly and exactly reflect typical forms of street culture and make perfect integration of traditional and contemporary elements, eastern and western aesthetics.

蒂丝朗以铜制造闻名于世，是法国最著名的铜与金艺术制造公司之一，曾为曼谷皇宫、卢浮宫、凡尔赛宫以及多个国家级博物馆制造顶级家具及灯具，法国政府授予其“人类有生命的遗产企业EPV”称号。

Tisserant, renowned worldwide for its copper craftsmanship, is one of the most famous copper and gold art manufacturing companies in France. It has produced top-tier furniture and lighting fixtures for the Royal Palace in Bangkok, the Louvre, the Palace of Versailles, and numerous national museums. The French government awarded it the title of "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (EPV), recognizing it as a "Living Heritage Company."

当这个坐落于巴黎市中心的百年艺术和手工艺之家与出生于80年代，对城市文化着迷，对嘻哈和街头文化，充满热情的中国雕塑艺术家黄玉龙相遇，艺术家以其卫衣人的雕塑形象为大众熟知，通过现代手法的表达重新审视了中国传统艺术的经典，使其具有意想不到的张力和全新的审美视角。在这次的碰撞中，一件由路易十五风格的黄金莨苕叶组合而成的卫衣胸像应运而生，两种文化符号的强烈碰撞，赋予作品独特的个性和文化属性，被隐去面部的领导者，暗示了无尽的生机与力量。

When this century-old house of art and craftsmanship, located in the heart of Paris, met Chinese sculptor Huang Yulong, born in the 1980s and fascinated by urban culture, hip-hop, and street art, a creative fusion took place. Known for his hoodie-wearing sculptures, Huang Yulong reexamines the classics of traditional Chinese art through modern techniques, endowing them with unexpected tension and a fresh aesthetic perspective. In this collaboration, a bust featuring a hoodie formed from gold acanthus leaves in the Louis XV style was born. The powerful collision of two cultural symbols gives the piece a unique personality and cultural identity, while the hidden face of the figure hints at boundless vitality and strength.

展卷释龙，游弋而上，跃然新生。海蓝之谜邀请非物质文化遗产传承人张晓栋，用几近失传的“龙鳞装”诠释龙之新姿，越千年，照见经典。灵动翻飞，开卷舒展“龙鳞”。

Unfurling the Dragon, Soaring Ahead, Emerging Renewed. LA MER invites Zhang Xiaodong, an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, to interpret the dragon's new form through the nearly lost "Dragon Scale Binding," transcending millennia to illuminate timeless classics. With agility and grace, the pages unfurl like dragon scales upon opening.

十余年的研究和实践，启发张晓栋为龙鳞装创造出新的生命。他独创的“千页”形制被运用在了本次合作中。他以宋代画家陈容的《九龙图》为灵感出发点——山海间游龙驾雾、云起龙骧，是生命力的象征，也是对未来的美好期许——并进行了更当代的视觉重组和再创作，结合La Mer海蓝之谜龙年视觉设计元素，制作出一幅宽3米、高0.5米的“龙卷”。

Over a decade of research and practice has also inspired Zhang Xiaodong to breathe new life into the Dragon Scale Binding. His unique "thousand-page" format is employed in this collaboration. Drawing inspiration from Chen Rong's "Nine Dragons Painting" from the Song Dynasty, which depicts dragons soaring amidst mountains and seas, clouds rising with dragons, symbolizing vitality and promising a bright future, he reimagines and reconstructs the imagery in a more contemporary manner, incorporating LA MER's visual design elements for the Year of the Dragon, creating a 3-meter-wide and 0.5-meter-high "Dragon Scroll."

据《山海经》记载，神兽烛龙为章尾山之神，具有竖目人面和赤红蛇身，开眼为昼，闭眼为夜。沿袭华夏祖先解释自然现象的丰富想象，艺术家通过镀金金属板形成复杂镜面结构，描绘出以树木形态相互连接的未来新人类，艺术家编织出一个瑰丽而奇幻的世界。

作品于2022年受宝格丽邀请特别创作。

According to the Classics of the Mountains and Seas, the mythical creature candle dragon is the patron god of Mount Zhangwei, with the face of a man featuring vertical eyes and the body of a giant red snake, who makes day when his eyes open and night when they are closed. Wu builds on the vivid ingenuity that the ancient Chinese apply to natural phenomenon and uses gold-plated metal plates to create a complex mirror arrangement to mimic the tree form, to describe a connection to the future human world. Wu’s imagination, helps him fashion a magnificent and fantastic world.

The work was specially created upon invitation by Bulgari in 2022.
