Annual General Meeting(AGM)
马来西亚旅华学生会（MSAC）常年会员代表大会暨改选于2024年3月30日（星期六）正式落幕。本次大会采用线上的形式进行，由2023-2024届主席张镒雯同学主持，出席者包括马来西亚驻华大使馆教育处（EMB）参赞沙烈胡丁先生、本会荣誉顾问卫小云博士、2023-2024届MSAC全体理事与执委、各省（市、自治区）执委代表、个人会员代表及各省（市、自治区）推荐候选人。
The Annual General Meeting and Election of Malaysian Students Association in China (MSAC) has officially concluded on March 30, 2024 (Saturday). This meeting was conducted online and was hosted by Miss. Chong Yee Mun, the President of MSAC batch 2023-2024. Meeting attendees included Director of Education Malaysia Beijing (EMB), Tuan Sallehuddin, MSAC Honorary Advisor, Dr. Cherry Wei Xiaoyun, Batch 2023-2024 MSAC Executive Committee members and Board of Council，Executive Committee Representative of each province (municipal and autonomous region), Individual Member Representatives and Candidates.

主席特别感谢EMB、领事馆以及MSAC荣誉顾问在这一年为MSAC遇到的种种挑战如签证问题、护照过期问题以及入院等问题提供协助。同时，也感谢理事会提供的宝贵意见以及MSAC全体执委的辛勤付出。因执委们分散各地而不能线下聚集，主席为2023-2024届MSAC执委会表示遗憾。最后，主席对合作伙伴与各支持单位表示感谢并祝福 MSAC变得更好。
First of all, the president expresses special gratitude to EMB, the Consulate, and MSAC Honorary Advisor for their assistance throughout the year in facing various challenges such as visa issues, passport expiration, and hospitalisation. At the same time,the president appreciates the valuable advice provided by the council and the hard work of all MSAC Executive Committee members. Due to the committee members being scattered in various locations, the president regrets that the MSAC Executive Committee of 2023-2024 cannot gather offline. At last, the president also thanked the assistance from partners and supporting units and wished MSAC a better future and looked forward to accomplishing great things in the future.

卫小云博士感谢所有MSAC执委和理事这一年的辛勤工作以及对她的信任。同时也特别感谢MSAC主席张镒雯过去所提供的帮助，并希望MSAC执委会以及理事会可以吸引更多的学生来参与学生会的的活动，聆听学生的意愿。卫小云博士希望MSAC执委会以及理事会成员不要忽略自己学生的本质，专注学业。最后，卫小云博士赞扬MSAC 2023-2024执委会全体成员的辛勤付出并鼓励他们继续加油。
Dr. Cherry expresses gratitude to all MSAC Executive Committee and the Board of Council for their hard work throughout the year and for their trust in her and at the same time extends special thanks to MSAC President Chong Yee Mun for the assistance provided in the past and hopes that the MSAC Executive Committee and the Board of Council can attract more students to engage in the student association's activities and heed the desires of the students. Dr. Cherry urges members of the MSAC Executive Committee and the Board of Council not to overlook the essence of being students and to focus on their studies. Lastly, Dr. Cherry commends the hard work of all members of the MSAC 2023-2024 Executive Committee and encourages them to continue their efforts.

President Chong Yee Mun announced the dischargement of the 2022-2023 Executive Committee.

改选环节
Election Section
此次改选环节由2023-2024届执行委员会副主席王义扬同学主持。副主席宣布每位候选人有5分钟的自我介绍和发表竞选宣言时间，3分钟的个人质询时间。所有候选人发表结束后会有30分钟的统一质询时间。MSAC 2023-2024 届执委、理事会成员、各省（市、自治区）执委代表皆有投票权。列席者拥有发言权与提问权，但无投票权。
在投选新届主席，同意人数须超过大会出席人数2/3则当选。超过1位竞选人竞选同一职位则票高者当选；只有1位竞选人竞选职位则同意人数超过大会出席人数2/3方能当选。首先对候选人的第一志愿职位进行投票。如果候选人成功当选其第一志愿职位，则其第二志愿自动取消。如果未能当选第一志愿职位，则自动转为其第二志愿的候选人。改选后其余执委会的职务空缺将开放广招。
The election section was hosted by the Vice President of the MSAC 2023-2024 term, Ong Ghee Yang. He announced that each candidate would have 5 minutes for self-introduction and to present their election manifesto, followed by a 3-minute personal Q&A session. After all candidates have spoken, there will be a 30-minute Q&A session open for all. Members of the MSAC 2023-2024 Executive Committee, Board of Council, and representatives from provincial (city, autonomous region) Executive Committees are entitled to vote. Observers are granted the right to speak and ask questions, but they do not have voting rights.
For the election of the new president, a candidate needs to secure more than 2/3 of the votes from those present to be elected. If more than one candidate is running for the same position, the one with the most votes will be elected. In cases where there is only one candidate for a position, they must also receive more than 2/3 of the votes from those present to be elected. Voting will initially focus on each candidate’s first-choice position. If a candidate is elected to their first-choice position, they automatically withdraw from their second-choice candidacy. Should they not be elected to their first-choice position, they automatically become a candidate for their second choice. Following the election, the remaining vacancies in the Executive Committee will be opened for a wide recruitment process.

主席表示非常感谢大家的信任，得以继续担任主席一职，主席表示新的任期当中希望大家可以携手共进，为全体旅华生提供更好的价值。今年为中马建交50周年，主席希望全体学生会可以互相支持，共同举办活动并展示马来西亚的独特风采。主席希望全体执委可以积极推荐合适人选参与广招，促使MSAC达到新的高度。最后，主席恭喜全体竞选成功的新届执委，希望大家保持初心为全体旅华生服务，在新的任期创造更多自豪的成就。
The President expresses deep gratitude for the trust placed in her to continue serving as President. She expresses her hope for collaboration in the new term to provide better value for all Malaysian students studying in China. This year marks the 50th anniversary of China-Malaysia diplomatic relations. The President hopes that all student associations can support each other and jointly organize events to showcase Malaysia's unique charm. The President hopes that all committee members can actively recommend suitable candidates to participate in the open recruitment process, enabling MSAC to reach new heights. The President congratulates all new committee members, urging them to stay true to their original intentions of serving all Malaysian students studying in China and to create even more pride.

参赞沙烈胡丁先生感谢卫小云博士对MSAC无私的奉献以及2023-2024届全体执委的付出，并表示加入MSAC不仅是为履历增添一份色彩，而是活跃地为旅华生服务，必须要谨记我们身为马来西亚子民，同时也在呈现马来西亚的文化与传统。参赞表示马来文不可忘却，需确保活动除了英文与中文的应用，也需要充分使用马来文。另外，参赞表示请确保所有学生已注册MyData Portal以方便学生资料的统计工作。最后，参赞呼吁全体旅华生关注马来西亚驻华大使馆教育处 （EMB）官方社交媒体Instagram，持续关注EMB所举办的活动。
Tuan Muhammad Sallehuddin expresses gratitude to Dr. Cherry for her selfless dedication to MSAC and to all the committee members of the 2023-2024 term for their efforts and emphasizes that joining MSAC is not just about adding colour to one’s resume but actively serving Malaysian students studying in China. It’s crucial to remember that we are Malaysian citizens, and at the same time, we are presenting Malaysian culture and traditions. The director stresses the importance of not forgetting the Malay language. He ensures that activities should not only use English and Chinese but also fully utilize the Malay language. Other than that, the director requests to ensure that all students have registered on the MyData Portal for the statistical work of student data.Lastly, the director urges all Malaysian students studying in China to follow the official social media Instagram account of the Education Malaysia Beijing (EMB) and to stay updated on the activities organized by the EMB.

马来西亚旅华学生会（MSAC）成立于1999年，是注册于马来西亚驻华大使馆教育处（EMB）的组织。迄今，本会横亘于 3 个直辖市、11 个省份及 1 个自治区，会员为各省（市、自治区）马来西亚学生会以及其他未成立学生会的省个人会员。
本会以保障马来西亚旅华生的权益与福利为宗旨，是各省（市、自治区）马来西亚学生会的总联络站及代表。同时，作为旅华生的信息枢纽，本会坚守为旅华生传递精准可靠的官方信息。本会亦协助加深与拓展各省会之间的情谊，以实现自始至终的愿景：“维系彼此，相互扶持，共创价值”。
Malaysian Students Association in China (MSAC), founded in 1999, is an organization registered with the Education Malaysia Beijing (EMB). Currently, MSAC is established across 3 municipalities, 11 provinces, and 1 autonomous region, with members consisting of Malaysian student associations from each province (municipality, autonomous region) and individual members from provinces where student associations have not been established.
MSAC is dedicated to protecting the rights and welfare of Malaysian students in China and serves as the main liaison and representative body for Malaysian student associations from various provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions). Also acting as an information hub for students in China, MSAC is committed to conveying accurate and reliable official information to students. Furthermore, MSAC assists in deepening and expanding relationships between provincial associations to achieve our vision: We Connect, We Care, We Create.
