ABOUT MSAC

Malaysian Students Association in China (MSAC), founded in 1999, is an organization registered with the Education Malaysia Beijing (EMB). Currently, MSAC is established across 3 municipalities, 11 provinces, and 1 autonomous region, with members consisting of Malaysian student associations from each province (municipality, autonomous region) and individual members from provinces where student associations have not been established. 

MSAC is dedicated to protecting the rights and welfare of Malaysian students in China and serves as the main liaison and representative body for Malaysian student associations from various provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions). Also acting as an information hub for students in China, MSAC is committed to conveying accurate and reliable official information to students. Furthermore, MSAC assists in deepening and expanding relationships between provincial associations to achieve our vision: We Connect, We Care, We Create.

ELIGIBILITY

All Malaysian students studying in China including college, degree, master and PhD students.

Presidential Team

(Recruits: 2 Vice president)

Job Scope

  • Responsible for leading the executive committee to complete the day-to-day affairs of the meeting and adhere to the association's guiding principles.


  • In charge of empowering the board of council and executive committee to collaborate, communicate, and maintain the mutual consensus.


  • In responsible of facilitating interaction and cooperation among Malaysian student associations and strengthen the bond.


  • Responsible for communicating with Consulate General of Malaysia, Education Malaysia Beijing (EMB) and other associations.


Job Requirements

  • Obtain good communications skills, able to socialize well.


  • Obtain leadership skills and able to lead a team effectively.


  • Obtain management skills, able to delegate responsibilities and resources wisely, create a work schedule for each department and make sure the association operate smoothly.


  • Obtain analytical skills, able to solve complicated problems, including evaluating the risks and opportunities and formulating corresponding solutions.

*Candidates must pass the election at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be elected as Vice President. Those who successfully pass the interview stage will proceed to the departmental rotation phase.



Secretary Department

(Recruits: 2 Members of Dept.)

Job Scope

  • Writing meeting minutes, official letters and other related documents.


  • Regularly check and respond to emails, and communicating formally with various units and organisations.


  • Assist in the preparation of various documents, backup and keeping all documents and materials in a secure manner.


  • Summarize and documentation of information of MSAC, assistance to Provincial Students Associations in sorting out classified information.


Job Requirements - 

Secretary Team (1 pax)

  • Proficient in languages (especially English, Malay and Chinese), applicants with shorthand experiences are preferred.


  • Excel in basic office software (e.g. Word, Excel PowerPoint, Questionnaire design etc.)


Job Requirements - 

Translating Team (1 pax)

  • Proficient in languages (especially Chinese, English and Malay)


  • Familiar with translation tasks.


  • Meticulous, patient and responsible.



Public Relations Department

(Recruits: 1 Head of Dept.,

2 Members of Dept.)

Job Scope

  • Responsible for all external liaison affairs of MSAC, including the liaison of related units and associations. 


  • Responsible for securing sponsorships for MSAC events and drafting sponsorship proposals. Coordinate, collaborate and communicate with other departments.


  • Responsible for the reception and reputation management of MSAC.


Job Requirements

  • Applicants with public relations or other relevant background are preferred. 


  • Applicants with good communication skills and able to resolve unexpected situations are preferred. 


  • Proficient in Chinese and English, familiar in preparing public relations correspondences (e.g. Event External Collaboration Proposal, etc.).



Media Department

(Recruits: 6 Members of Dept.)

Job Scope

  • Responsible for producing and publicizing events of MSAC, as well as promoting the content and experience of studying in China.


  • Responsible for operating social media platforms of MSAC, including the copy editing of articles, designing event posters as well as producing event videos. 

  • In charge of executing and overseeing departmental collaboration promotion.


Job Requirements - 

Editorial Team (2 pax) 

  • Proficient in English and Chinese writing, able to write in different styles. 


  • Interested in article contents creation, applicants experienced in WeChat article writing are preferred.

Job Requirements - 

Multimedia Team (2 pax)

  • Have a keen sense of aesthetics; passionate about graphic design.


  • Have experience in graphic design (proficiency in Canva, PS, AI, and PR is a bonus) and be able to complete works independently.


  • Proficient in video and audio editing techniques (being able to independently complete suggested animations is a bonus).


  • Applicants experienced in social media account creation and management are preferred.

Job Requirements - 

Operations Management Team 

(2 pax)

  • Have a basic understanding of WordPress, able to design a webpage independently.


  • Excel in coding or experienced in website design and operations.

*You may attach the website link or images of the websites that you designed in your resume.


**The job scope in Media Department often overlap; therefore, applicants with comprehensive skills and a willingness to take on varied tasks will be prioritized.




Project Coordination Department

(Recruits: 3 Members of Dept.)

Job Scope

  • Responsible for the research, planning, preparation and execution of event programs.


  • Able to resolve unexpected situations; prepare back-up plans.


  • Responsible for the coordination, supervision and execution of events.


  • Assistance to Provincial Students Associations in reviewing various event planning and reports.


Job Requirements

  • Have strong organisational skills and creativity, quick-thinking and complete the job considering all aspects.


  • Able to cooperate and work well as a team.


  • Applicants experienced in event planning or large-scale activities are preferred.
