“在当前此刻，我们仍感受到新冠疫情对全球的影响，致力于文化和健康事业的建筑是一种社会责任。”——斯蒂文·霍尔医疗建筑是影响公共健康的重要部分。新冠疫情暴发后，医疗建筑成为社会和各学界关注最多的建筑类型之一。而公众也逐渐意识到医院设施不再只是看病就医的场所，更是肩负着人民健康和安全的公共卫生基础设施……因此，分析医疗建筑面临的挑战和机遇，思考其未来发展趋势具有重要价值。当今时代到底需要什么样的的医疗建筑，以应对当代医学发展的速度、公众对健康概念理解的变化、医学模式、医学科技的进步等，都值得建筑师展开思考……本期特稿围绕后疫情时代“医疗、健康建筑”主题，特向行业内在医疗健康建筑领域不断探索的建筑师发出邀稿，并将其对当代医疗建筑的实践与思考整理记录，从多视角、多方位向读者呈现，与广大读者分享。专题中既介绍了行业专家的最新研究成果，又有特色案例研究，虽然只有寥寥数篇，但相信以此可以激发业界进行更多、更深入的探讨。“建筑师随笔”栏目甄选文章，从一位建筑师几十年医疗建筑设计的的经历出发，分享对医院建筑可持续性发展需求的探索；“优秀青年建筑师”专栏分享了一位入行十四年的设计师，从“菜鸟”逐渐转变为一名合格的青年建筑师的心路历程……本期“传统名城、名镇、名村探索”专栏，揭开了苍台村的神秘面纱，探索了彝族土掌房发展性保护思路，通过禄丰市金山镇星宿桥的研究，总结了城镇中桥梁遗产保护利用的方法。编者

随着当代医学发展及公众对健康概念理解的变化，医疗建筑需要持续进化以应对医学模式、医学科技、疾病和患者构成的改变……
在建筑师辛勤的探索中，“平疫结合”“韧性医院”“智慧医院”“绿色医院”“疗愈医院”“适老化医院”等医疗建筑相关的概念不断产生，反映了医疗建筑研究的跨学科性。
后疫情时代，中国医疗建筑的建设将迎来重要的挑战和机遇。设计和建造面向未来需求的医疗建筑将是实现“健康中国”的重要举措。本时期的医疗建筑设计，需要在科学技术进步、医疗工艺发展和社会需求变化带来的多重挑战中不断地探索与发展，从而增强其疗愈性、智慧性、灵活性、参与性和服务性的建设，为提升医疗建筑设计品质，为全力推进公立医院高质量发展和建设健康人居环境赋能。
