Abstract
背景回顾:Plants frequently encounter wounding and have evolved an extraordinary regenerative capacity to heal the wounds.

主要发现:Here, through characterization of a tomato mutant defective in both wound-induced defense and regeneration, we demonstrate that in tomato, a plant elicitor peptide (Pep), REGENERATION FACTOR1 (REF1), acts as a systemin-independent local wound signal that primarily regulates local defense responses and regenerative responses in response to wounding.
结果1-REF1-PORK1-再生:We further identified PEPR1/2 ORTHOLOG RECEPTOR-LIKE KINASE1 (PORK1) as the receptor perceiving REF1 signal for plant regeneration.
结果2-REF1-PORK1-WIND1-再生:REF1-PORK1-mediated signaling promotes regeneration via activating WOUND-INDUCED DEDIFFERENTIATION 1 (WIND1), a master regulator of wound-induced cellular reprogramming in plants.

植物经常遭受创伤,并演化出一种非凡的再生能力来愈合伤口。然而,诱发再生响应的创伤信号还未被鉴定。本文中,作者通过对一个创伤诱导防御和再生缺陷的番茄突变体的研究,发现了番茄中一种植物激发子肽REF1作为一个独立于系统素的局部创伤信号发挥作用,主要调控植物对创伤的局部防御响应和再生响应。作者还发现PORK1是植物再生中感知REF1信号的受体。REF1-PORK1介导的信号转导通过激活植物创伤诱导的细胞重编程主要调控子WIND1来促进再生。因此,REF1-PORK1信号转导代表了一个保守的植物细胞因子途径,能够启动、放大和稳定一个信号转导级联,精细调控创伤诱导的器官再生。通过外施REF1为提高顽拗性作物的再生转化效率提供了一种简单的方法。
