来自斐济、基里巴斯、密克罗尼西亚联邦、瑙鲁、纽埃、巴布亚新几内亚、所罗门群岛、汤加、瓦努阿图9个太平洋岛国的议员日前到访广东多地，考察广东在可持续发展、农业科技和循环经济方面的创新实践，以及中国全过程人民民主在广东的实践。
汤加塔布2号选区平民议员乌西拉莫埃朗基·法西（'Uhilamoelangi Fasi）对广东“以人为本”和“包容并蓄”的发展理念印象深刻。他观察到，广东在发展过程中注重倾听人民意见、对西方事物保持包容，希望将这些所见所闻向本国报告。
Recently, parliamentarians from nine Pacific island nations—Fiji, Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu—visited Guangdong, China to explore its innovations in sustainable development, agricultural technology, and circular economy practices, as well as the implementation of China's whole-process people's democracy.
Hon. Dr. 'Uhilamoelangi Fasi, Member of Parliament for Tongatapu 2, expressed his admiration for Guangdong's focus on involving people in development and its inclusive blend of Chinese and Western ideas.
