Our client, a leading listed Chinese company with significant international operations, is seeking an Export Control Lawyer to join their Shanghai office. This role focuses on trade compliance and export control matters to ensure the company's daily business operations adhere to domestic and international regulations.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and support on trade compliance and export control regulations for daily business activities.
Develop, implement, and update internal policies to comply with export control laws and trade restrictions.
Conduct due diligence and risk assessments related to export control and trade compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to global trade policies and manage regulatory filings.
Engage with regulatory authorities and external counsel on compliance-related matters.
Requirements:
LL.B. from a top-tier law school in China or overseas; an LL.M. is a plus.
5+ years of experience in trade compliance/export control law at a leading law firm or multinational corporation.
Familiarity with Chinese and international export control regulations, including U.S. EAR, ITAR, and related laws.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in both Chinese and English (spoken and written).
