Nearly a million colleagues in vocational education joined together to witness the honor of the final moments of "The 2nd XJTLU Innovative Cases of Industry-Education Integrated Curriculum Competition"
On December 15, 2024, the final of ‘The 2nd XJTLU Innovative Cases of Industry-Education Integrated Curriculum Competition’ was successfully held. Over a hundred colleagues in vocational education attended the event to explore the "future-oriented" innovation ecosystem of industry-education integration.
The final of ‘The 2nd XJTLU Innovative Cases of Industry-Education Integrated Curriculum Competition’ attracted nearly a million participants through live streaming, engaging in discussions on how industry and education can organically integrate in the digital intelligence era, thereby achieving collaborative education and co-creating a beautiful vision for the future of education.

Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) officially signed an agreement with Wuhan Guanggu Kangqiao Senior High School to jointly establish a "Xipu Class"
On December 13, 2024, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), officially signed an agreement with Wuhan Guanggu Kangqiao Senior High School to jointly establish a "Xipu Class." This marks the fifth "Xipu Class" established by XJTLU, following those in Qingdao, Shenzhen, Suzhou, and Xi'an. The "Xipu Class" is an experimental field for exploring future-oriented basic education models, jointly created by XJTLU and high schools with shared visions, leveraging XJTLU's high-quality educational resources. It aims to break the limitations of traditional education models and explore and implement a true holistic education model—"making it easy for teachers to teach, enjoyable for students to learn, and satisfactory for exams to be taken." The signing of the "Xipu Class" agreement signifies another solid step taken by XJTLU in the process of education innovation and reform based on educational principles.

Mid-term Course Research Webinar of the Association of Interdisciplinary Social Innovation Course Successfully Concluded
On the morning of December 8, the Mid-term Course Research Webinar of the Association of Interdisciplinary Social Innovation Course (ISIC) successfully concluded. This event gathered educators from over 20 course teams across various universities in China to discuss strategies for enhancing students’ abilities to address real-world social challenges through courses. The discussions also focused on deepening the development of a research-led interdisciplinary social innovation course system among universities. In the afternoon, 26 student project teams from 15 universities showcased their mid-term progress, results, and achievements for their 2024 projects online. Each team highlighted their unique project outcomes, demonstrating keen insights and deep reflections on social issues within their respective fields of study.

AoFE Syntegrative Learning Closing and Practice Mentor Appointment Ceremony
On December 18th , the EDS436 Syntegrative Learning course was officially concluded and a ceremony was held to close the course and grant the certification of the practice mentor. The event attracted a large number of students and practical tutors. At the ceremony, the leaders of the school and the enterprise delivered speeches respectively, and the students also exchanged their learning achievements and harvest. As an important part of integrated learning, this course not only improves students' practical ability, but also promotes the interaction and cooperation between teachers and students. In the future, the College will continue to promote the exploration and application of the concept and method of integrated learning, promote the cooperation between the school and enterprises, and promote the improvement of students' practical ability.

Teachers from Lumu Senior High School in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, Participated in a General Training Program Tailored by the Centre for Child Development and Education at the Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University
On December 11, 2024, 30 key teachers from Lumu Senior High School in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, participated in a general training program tailored for them by the Centre for Child Development and Education at the Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) ,Academy for Future Education. Through interactive sessions on the application of AI technology, the teachers explored various aspects such as personalized content delivery, drawing and animation creation, and AI digital avatar production. This training activity aimed to enhance teachers' instructional capabilities through AI technology and explore new pathways for the integration of technology and education.
EDU Instructional Designer Wins the "2024 Ling Hang Cup Jiangsu Province Teachers Digital Literacy Enhancement Practice Activity" Grand Prize
In the 2024 Ling Hang Cup Jiangsu Province Teachers Digital Literacy Enhancement Practice Activity, the courseware "Interactive Listening Practice: Online Teaching Innovation in Spanish Listening Skill Teaching," co-created by EDU’s instructional designer Yang Yezi and our university Spanish teachers Tan Ling, Rebeca Muñoz Valero and Cristina Gonzalez, have won the Grand Prize. This courseware primarily utilizes H5P digital technology, supplemented by AI technology, to design a series of interactive video listening materials specifically for beginner-level Spanish listening practice. It enhances students' listening skills and stimulate their enthusiasm for learning through a combination of situational teaching and interactive learning methods, which has been thought highly by students.
The Research-led learning and teaching programme for Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine was successfully held from November 22nd to December 1st.
The programme was structured into three phases: identifying key teaching questions, enhancing research-led teaching skills, and implementing teaching reform plans in classrooms. These phases substantially improved the teaching abilities of the participating teachers.

The programme revolves around the two major themes of "acquisition of digital technology knowledge and skills" and "digital application operations," exploring digital learning and teaching in the era of digital intelligence.
