Efficient and convenient, Shenzhen has built 1,002 ultra-fast charging stations and 410,000 charging piles, becoming the first city in the world where the number of charging stations and charging lances surpasses that of gas stations and fuel pumps.

In park parking lots, integrated ultra-fast charging stations with solar energy storage are now operational, incorporating robot coffee stations, mobile energy storage robots, and online reservation parking systems. The Virtual Power Plant Management Platform 3.0 enables real-time adjustable loads of up to 840,000 kilowatts, equivalent to the electricity demand of 140,000 households. This accelerates the city's energy system towards a greener transformation and gradually shapes sustainable production practices and a green lifestyle.

The concepts of building an "ultra-fast charging city" and a "world-class next-generation automotive city" are closely linked and mutually reinforcing. Popularizing ultra-fast charging stations by making charging as fast as refueling will significantly boost the development of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.“超充之城”与“新一代世界一流汽车城”,二者联系紧密、相辅相成。普及超充站,做到“充电像加油一样快”,势必极大助力新能源汽车产业发展。As the leading city for NEVs in China, Shenzhen achieved a new car penetration rate of 75.9% for NEVs from January to October in 2024, with an NEV fleet on the road exceeding 1.19 million units, accounting for 27.4% of total vehicle stock.作为中国新能源汽车第一城,2024年1-10月,深圳新能源汽车新车渗透率已达75.9%,新能源汽车保有量超过119万辆,存量占比达27.4%。

With ultra-fast chargers, it's possible to charge 80% or more in 10 minutes or less, greatly enhancing the charging experience. With more charging facilities available now, one can now charge their vehicle anytime and anywhere.市民任新:新能源汽车使用慢充桩充满电通常需要7至8个小时,使用快充桩则需要1至2个小时,而使用超充桩可以在10分钟或者更短的时间内充电80%或以上,能够大大提升充电体验。现在的充电设施越来越多,随时随地都可以找到地方给汽车充电。
