为深化“人类命运共同体”理念，增强青少年应对全球性挑战的能力，发挥青少年积极作用推进共建“一带一路”高质量发展，促进粤港澳大湾区的国际化教育发展，由深圳报业教育传媒集团、深圳报业全球传播中心EyeShenzhen主办的2025湾区国际模拟联合国大会，拟于2025年3月1日至3月2日在广东省深圳市举行。
The 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) International Model United Nations (MUN) will take place in Shenzhen on March 1 and 2. The event aims to enhance youth responsiveness and their ability to tackle global challenges while promoting the development of international education in the GBA.
Jointly organized by the Shenzhen Press, Education, and Media Group and EyeShenzhen, the conference welcomes college students from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, as well as senior high students in the GBA, to participate.
The event format involves six committees that will address various topics, including artificial intelligence (AI), regional peace, inequality, and the United Nations' top priorities for 2025. The conference is designed to broaden participants' international perspectives and improve their cross-cultural communication skills and analytical skills related to global issues.
Interested college and senior high students can register by scanning the QR code below and completing the questionnaire. Registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 5. The organizing committee will confirm each registration via email, which will also contain information regarding submission fees.
Participants will receive materials such as topic backgrounds, policies, and seat allocations from their respective committee chairs before mid-February, and they will undergo two rounds of academic training prior to the conference.
Conference representatives will have the opportunity to attend workshops at the Shenzhen International Communication Institute and participate in thematic activities organized by the World Innovative Cities Cooperation Organization. Selected participants will also have the chance to serve as Shenzhen Global Communication Ambassadors.
Additionally, the conference will feature a social media challenge that uses various media channels to release conference news and achievements, attracting youth attention from all sectors and stimulating engagement and discussion.
Meanwhile, the organizing committee is also recruiting committee chairpersons and both Chinese-speaking and English-speaking members to manage the six committees. Chairperson candidates must adhere to the academic team guidelines and various requirements established by the organizing committee.
Qualified candidates must be capable of timely, proactive, and efficient completion of academic document writing, organization of online academic training, and other related tasks. They will host meetings and provide academic guidance during the conference.
Interested applicants should submit their resume in PDF format to academic@bgaimun.cn and a previously written background document, also in PDF, not exceeding 1,000 words. Chairperson applicants should also include a draft outline of a background document based on the topic of their selected committee that identifies key issues that need to be addressed. All applicants should compress their documents into a zip file and send it as an email attachment.
The email title should be formatted as “Chairperson/Member-School-Name” and submitted before 11:59 p.m. Jan. 25. Successful applicants will be notified by email regarding interviews or acceptance. The organizing committee will cover food, accommodations, transportation, and other essential expenses related to the conference for chairpersons.
