Anime fair


The third Animation Dream Fair, featuring popular cosplayers and other animation-related stars, will open tomorrow at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. Don’t miss this exciting event celebrating the vibrant world of animation!

Circus shows


Attending an exciting circus show is a great way for families to unwind during the weekend or celebrate the New Year. Enjoy thrilling stunts and entertaining clown performances as you immerse yourself in this fun-filled spectacle. Now through Sunday, several circus performances are taking place every day at Mission Hills Ecological Sports Park.

Richard Clayderman


Legendary pianist Richard Clayderman will give a grand concert at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center tonight, performing a selection of his greatest hits.

YMCG Orchestra


Conductor Daniel Harding and tenor Ian Bostridge will join forces with the Youth Music Culture Greater Bay Area (YMCG) Orchestra and other Western musicians to present two pieces by Britten and Mahler on Saturday. The YMCG Orchestra consists of young musicians under 30 from around the world, promising a vibrant and dynamic performance.

Soft sound from Japanese singer


Japanese singer Saho Terao is currently on tour in China and will perform a live show featuring her popular songs in Shenzhen. Her soothing voice and gentle singing style are sure to provide a comforting escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Voices of children from Inner Mongolia


An ethnic children’s choir from Inner Mongolia, featuring kids from the Orogen, Ewenki, Daur, and Mongolian ethnic groups, will perform a concert rich in cultural character. The program will include several folk songs and nursery rhymes, showcasing the diverse traditions of these unique communities.

Venue: Guangming Culture and Art Center, Guangming District (光明区光明文化艺术中心)

Chinese orchestra concert


The Haishan Chinese Orchestra, comprising talented young musicians graduating from top music schools, will stage a concert featuring love-themed songs from hit Chinese television dramas such as "Story of Yanxi Palace," "Empresses in the Palace," and "The Legend of Sword and Fairy."



Time: 8 p.m., Jan. 19

‘The Peacock’


The dance drama "Peacock," choreographed by renowned dance artist Yang Liping, is a story themed on life and love through its four chapters of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. It is an exploration of life and the nature in the form of stage arts. The dance drama also reflects the choreographer’s insights into new possibilities of Oriental aesthetics and the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture.

‘Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land’


Directed by the renowned playwright Stan Lai and featuring a stellar cast including Huang Lei, He Jiong and Sun Li, this theatrical play in its classic version promises an unforgettable experience for theater lovers. Its narrative is a tapestry woven with a modern tragedy and a historical comedy. Illustrating the intertwined stories of two disparate troupes, both contracted for a rehearsal at the same venue, the play emerges as a vivid mosaic of love, loss, and laughter.
