The 20th China Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) was held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center from May 23 to 27. The exhibition area reached 160,000 square meters, a 33% increase. Exhibitors from 60 countries and regions attended the fair both in-person and online, leading to a 67.9% increase in contract deals.第二十届文博会于5月23至27日在深圳国际会展中心成功举办，总展览面积16万平方米、增长33%。60个国家和地区的海外展商线上线下参展，合同成交额增长67.9%。Five new national-level cultural industry demonstration bases were established throughout the year, and the added value of cultural industries is expected to reach 300 billion yuan (US$40.94 billion).全年新增5家国家级文化产业示范基地，文化产业增加值预计近3000亿元。The city worked out a three-year action plan for the game industry and established the Shenzhen (Nanshan) Game Innovation Development Center. The 2024 China Mermaid Open Competition makes waves at Xiaomeisha Sea World on Oct. 11, 2024. Liu Xudong The city received over 185 million visitors throughout 2024, marking a 10.8% increase year on year, with tourism revenue reaching 265 billion yuan, an 11.3% increase from that of last year. Xiaomeisha Sea World resumed operations, and Phase I of OCT East was renovated and completed. The 10th Shenzhen Marathon attracted 20,000 runners.
